Good to hear from you! It's been pretty quiet for a long time. Cas is trying to get the collaboration back going, and I'd like to see it work out (even if I would have rather done Apatosaurus - I scanned Berman&McIntosh 1978 from the library assuming it would be next, and also because periodically an editor drops by to accuse Marsh of perpetrating a hoax regarding Brontosaurus). I'm glad to hear that your degree is coming along! J. Spencer (talk) 03:54, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
Delivered by MessageDeliveryBot on behalf of WikiProject Viruses at 17:35, 15 February 2012 (UTC).

* tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
* updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
* creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

As we approach the end of the year, the Military History project is looking to recognise editors who have made a real difference. Each year we do this by bestowing two awards: the Military Historian of the Year and the Military History Newcomer of the Year. Nominations for both awards are open between 00:01 on 2 December 2017 and 23:59 on 15 December 2017. After this, a 14-day voting period will follow commencing at 00:01 on 16 December 2017. Guidelines:
Hi everyone, this is my talk page. Don't come to this talk page looking for a confrontation. When I argue, I argue for a long time & don't usually back down - it's in my fight or flight nature. If you have a heated discussion you'd love to have with me, I suggest you wait a day or two before posting here & rephrase any inflammatory remarks you may make for both of our sakes. I don't like fighting & I'm sure you don't either. Thank you...

Hello again!

[edit]

Hi, Spawn Man;

J. Spencer (talk) 03:54, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, We at WikiProject Viruses noticed that you used to be a participant of the project before the project went inactive. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a participant of WikiProject Viruses again. We believe that viruses are an extremely important part of an encyclopedia, and that is why we need you! Our new project coordinator is Thomas888b (talk · contribs).
We hope you seriously consider our invitation. See you there. If you are interested in joining our crew again, please place a notice on Our Talkpage, or you will be removed from our participants list.

Batman work group

[edit]

Hello! Just wanted to take a moment to let you know about the newly created Batman work group, a part of WikiProject Comics designed to improve the classification and coverage of Batman-related articles on Wikipedia. You are invited to join the group, by adding your name to the list of participants. Feel free to pass this message along, to anyone else you know who would be interested. Thank you for your time and consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you! Fortdj33 (talk) 02:22, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, since your name's down on this project, I'm just writing to let you know that there's a discussion going on at the moment on how to format events – and in particular, events that go on for multiple days – on year pages. Your input would be appreciated. — Smjg (talk) 18:23, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On behalf of the coordinators, Nick-D (talk) and Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 00:30, 16 January 2012 (UTC) You were sent this message because you are a listed as a member of the Military history WikiProject.[reply]

You have previously shown an interest in Wikiproject Viruses by adding your name to our List of Participants. We are currently reviving the project, and would be grateful if you could indicate whether you are still interested in contributing or not on our Talk Page. You do not need to have expertise in virology to contribute to our project, as we welcome people with any degree of knowledge of the subject.
Thank you.

Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 00:46, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. March Madness 2017

[edit]

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:

 • tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
 • updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
 • creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

For the Milhist co-ordinators. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) & MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 07:24, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
