Simone DeCavalcante Jr was born in 1962 and I grew up with him in N.J. He is a Capo with the DeCavalcante family. He and his wife recently purchased a home in Naples Florida. FBI announces 10 New Jersey mafia arrests |
|||
The suspects include reputed captain 71-year-old Charles Stango, of Henderson, Nevada, and 72-year-old Frank Nigro, of Toms River, a reputed consigliere, or adviser. The criminal complaint alleges the DeCavalcante family operates under the direction of New York's Gambino crime family. The DeCavalcantes have long been thought to be the real-life inspiration for HBO's "Sopranos." |

I would like to make a request on the number of made men the DeCavalcante crime family has. It should be 80+. This reliable web article was made about 10 months ago, stating that the family has close to 80 made men. I believe they have inducted a few more since them, so I believe the appropriate number should be 80+. http://www.cosanostranews.com/2014/11/decavalcante-redux-nj-family-force-to.html |

Thank you. |

Angelo Cinotti of Hudson Counry was a CAPO. From. UNIOK Ciry to Jersey City. He is dead but was very powerful and his @@kook-ups” still extend today to his grandson. 174.106.128.84 (talk) 11:40, 23 December 2022 (UTC) |

== Former VERY Powerful CAPO == |
|||
Angelo Cinotti of Hudson County has been a major player and could have risen higher but for whatever reason he chose not to. He is now dead and his last “know” residence was Ocean County and his last “official career” was auto sales and he owed extensive property. |
|||
He died with 1 of his 2 sons still alive who is not confirmed as a good guy / friend; however, his grandson has been a powerhouse receiving much of Angelo’s power and his grandson has earned much of his own power and respect. His actual status as a “good guy” is not confined. 174.106.128.84 (talk) 11:58, 23 December 2022 (UTC) |

:His grandson Eric A. Cinotti of NJ is a player and a powerhouse; Robert A. Cinotti died this years. Eric had heavy involvement with unions as well is invested in many areas. It seems that he may have taken over a large part in leadership. 174.216.13.40 (talk) 16:48, 9 February 2024 (UTC) |

He is the grandson but trust me he is no gangster he is Ivy League educated and hold of all degree and makes a lot of money. Doing a lot of different businesses. You will not see him on any street corner word on the street is everybody I mean I’ve heard them in the bar. People come up and say hey boss, man, but I don’t know what that means but the guy definitely dabbles in a lot of things, but I do not know that he does anything bad. I do know that he’s good things but I can’t say that he is a guy that definitely knows how to handle business I’d rather have a friend 2603:6080:C900:7CD7:2162:4D2D:B083:79C (talk) 00:45, 25 August 2024 (UTC) |

:Number one let’s get one thing straight. I’m pretty sure that you are not a personal friend of Mr. Cinotti. I’m sure he probably wouldn’t like you commenting about him calling him Erick secondly, why would you be discussing him on this form? Maybe because you wish you were the man that he is and I’d half of the things that he has mind your own business. [edit]Are we sure that Steve O'Lenehan was an associate of the deCavalcante crime family?????? I don't believe that. I bet you O'Lenehen himself put that in there. I thought the people he was trying to hang around were the Philly crew, and they wouldn't take him. My call? Wikipedia should list him as an associate of the Real Deal family.
I also think it would be useful to have a "Flipped/Ratted Out" listing, particularly for this family.
Batman
- Okay, somebody has pointed out to me that O'Lenehan knew Jack Panels - or CLAIMED to know Jack Panels (in the notorious Scott D interview), so I guess that does sorta barely qualify the guy for associate status with the deCavalcantes. But it is my personal belief that the guy was just a low-level knockaround guy that nobody would take on permanently as an associate, so he just bounced around from crew to crew and family to family (Philly/Scarfo crews and deCavalcante crews), trying to get work wherever he could, from whoever would take him at any given time. That's my call. Batman
Okay, this has been discussed on some of the chat boards. I think we are all agreed that Steve's status should be "associate of an associate". He wasn't a formal associate of any made guy - he was palling around with other associates, trying to get taken on. Thus "associate of an associate" seems to be the agreed upon status. Batman.
"The Sopranos" is based on this family. Where does the 80-100 made men and 1500 associates figure come from?The most optimistic mob insiders place the DeCavalcante crime family at 60 made men tops.And also,the DeCavalcantes are known to keep a low number of associates for everymember(1:1 ratio) so the 1500 associates figure is waaay off Mrblonde7 (talk) 21:19, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Unscholarly Content
[edit]The majority of offenses used to construct the image of the DeCavalcante "family" as part of a larger organised conspiracy to commit criminal acts are alleged, and cannot form the basis of scholarly facts. This "article," reads more like a true-crime, or yellow journalistic piece, and probably has no place in an encyclopaedic work. Turning this articles improper "facts" into more suitable, sourced "allegations" could probably remedy the problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.13.58.155 (talk) 18:24, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

A Former CAPO
[edit]Angelo Cinotti of Hudson Counry was a CAPO. From. UNIOK Ciry to Jersey City. He is dead but was very powerful and his @@kook-ups” still extend today to his grandson. 174.106.128.84 (talk) 11:40, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
Former VERY Powerful CAPO
[edit]Angelo Cinotti of Hudson County has been a major player and could have risen higher but for whatever reason he chose not to. He is now dead and his last “know” residence was Ocean County and his last “official career” was auto sales and he owed extensive property.
He died with 1 of his 2 sons still alive who is not confirmed as a good guy / friend; however, his grandson has been a powerhouse receiving much of Angelo’s power and his grandson has earned much of his own power and respect. His actual status as a “good guy” is not confined. 174.106.128.84 (talk) 11:58, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- His grandson Eric A. Cinotti of NJ is a player and a powerhouse; Robert A. Cinotti died this years. Eric had heavy involvement with unions as well is invested in many areas. It seems that he may have taken over a large part in leadership. 174.216.13.40 (talk) 16:48, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- I’ve had the opportunity to meet Eric at a bar and he was very nice and paid for a lot of people bar tabs; I can’t say to his status but I can say he spent a ton of money and the suit he was wearing may cost more than I make in a month and yea he had an awesome pinky ring… 2603:6080:C900:7CD7:D06A:399:ABD0:9822 (talk) 02:52, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
Eric is the heir
[edit]He is the grandson but trust me he is no gangster he is Ivy League educated and hold of all degree and makes a lot of money. Doing a lot of different businesses. You will not see him on any street corner word on the street is everybody I mean I’ve heard them in the bar. People come up and say hey boss, man, but I don’t know what that means but the guy definitely dabbles in a lot of things, but I do not know that he does anything bad. I do know that he’s good things but I can’t say that he is a guy that definitely knows how to handle business I’d rather have a friend 2603:6080:C900:7CD7:2162:4D2D:B083:79C (talk) 00:45, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Number one let’s get one thing straight. 174.225.201.35 (talk) 03:12, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
