Although Sreenivasan says that the characterisation of Saroj Kumar is not at all based on any those of the existing superstars, it has been accused that Sreenivasan is drastically mimicking actor [[Mohanlal]] throughout the film. Many comments are made in the film about real happenings including Mohanlal's derogatory [Even though Lal just said "Sukumar Azhikode may have "mathibhramam' [ hallucination] to make such comments about him,Media made an issue of it and yet the term is deliberately addressed as 'derogatory."Mathi Bhramam" is a pure Malayalam word for hallucination] comments against [[Sukumar Azhikode]], his [[Lieutenant Colonel]] honour, Income tax raids and recovering of elephant tusks from his house, and his famous ad campaigns. There are reports that S. Kumar, the cinematographer of the film has been threatened via phone by Antony Perumbavoor, a film producer and close associate of Mohanlal.<ref>[http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/malayalam/article/76791.html "'Saroj' is framed"]</ref> |
