:Right, I've had a look through that article you have wrote, it does look good, but it does need work. I notice that Uppland has moved the page and it's talk page so they are Subpages in your userspace, so now I recommend that you work on the pages to bring them up to [[WP:NPOV|Neutral Point of View]] standards. You should also attempt to try and make it not like a Howto. I hope this helps, if it does not, please feel free to readd the <nowiki>{{helpme}}</nowiki> template. --[[User:NigelJ|NigelJ]] [[User talk:NigelJ|talk]] 04:01, 30 April 2006 (UTC) |

:Lots of edit-conflicts here! While I was writing the first comment above, your and NigelJ's comments above it and your message on my talkpage were posted, and while I wrote this NigelJ wrote his second message. Anyway, read up on the guidelines and see what you can do about the article. You might look at what else is written on related topics on Wikipedia and discuss with the people working on these articles to see where your knowledge fits in the larger structure. As I indicated above, I am not familiar enough with this topic to give you more specific advice. I just thought it seemed too substantial to just be discarded. Yes, I think is an important subject, that needs to be discussed more, I am currently looking for books and other articles that can be used to back this article, but I was hoping that since this is a wiki, someone other developer might take a look at the article and help me giving it more shape, as I said before I can see how it can look as a how-to, but it is not... I am thinking about using the article about the [[Singleton Pattern]] or [[Model View Controller]] as "templates" to give better shape to mine, thanks you all for you help. --[[User:Luxspes|Luxspes]] 04:26, 30 April 2006 (UTC) |

I have created an article UI Design: Edit then List vs List then Edit and it was marked for speedy deletion, saying it was a how-to, but it is not a how-to, I have written a justification for my article in the talk page but havent got an answer --Luxspes 03:50, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm seems the article also violates WP:NPOV, I'll also point out that the page got moved to your userpage, i'll look in forward/get someone else to comment directly on the speedy. --NigelJ talk 03:53, 30 April 2006 (UTC)See comment below...
- I moved this article to your own userspace (it is now at User:Luxspes/UI Design: Edit then List vs List then Edit), where you can continue to work on it undisturbed. However, although I don't know enough about this topic to say much about the content, there are a number of problems with it, and I would advice you to study the Wikipedia guidelines linked to above. First of all, using first or second person is not appropriate in an encyclopedia article. Second, you need to cite sources in support of what you write and adhere to Wikipedia's "no original research" policy. In other words, what you write has to be easily verifiable from already published sources, not your own ideas. (Follow the hyperlinks in those sentences!) The wording and end-result should be your own, but it should basically summarize what others have written on a topic. Also keep in mind to write in a way that is accessible to the average reader and be careful with the use jargon or abbreviations ("UI").
