In 1999, the business launched the Grifone, powered by a 900&nbsp;cc [[Three cylinder engine|three-cylinder]] Triumph engine. A completely new factory in [[Roseto]] was built to manufacture the Grifone, but in 2002 the company went bust. In 2005 it was taken over by Massimo Tartarini, the son of the original owner. Under his direction the company has developed lightweight [[touring motorcycle]]s based on the Korean [[Hyosung GT650|Hyosung 650's]] frame and engine.

From 2000 to 2002 Italjet competed in the 125&nbsp;cc MotoGP race series with the Italjet F125.
