Metroad 1 is a major metropolitan arterial route, called a Metroad, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Metroad route signage, introduced in October 1993, is intended to make it easier for road users to follow cross-metropolitan routes which use parts of many different roads. Metroad 1 runs from its intersection with Metroad 7 at Pearces Corner at Wahroonga south-east to the Sydney CBD then from the CBD south-west to the commencement of the F6 Southern Freeway at Waterfall. |
The introduction of the Metroad designation replaced National Route 1 signage, from October 1993. |
Between Artarmon and Sydney Airport, Metroad 1 also forms part of the Sydney Orbital Motorway. |

The Metroad 1 route runs along parts of many different roads as it crosses the Sydney metropolitan area. The roads it uses from Wahroonga to Waterfall are: Pacific Highway, Gore Hill Freeway, Warringah Freeway, Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Cahill Expressway, Eastern Distributor, Southern Cross Drive, General Holmes Drive, The Grand Parade, President Avenue, Princes Highway, Acacia Road, Princes Highway. The section between (and inclusive of) Gore Hill Freeway and General Holmes Drive (junction with M5 East Fwy) is freeway grade. |
