Redundant template. It is merely a navbox version of the List of the most subscribed channels on YouTube article (and to make things really circular, the list article is wl'ed in the title of the template), and in fact had duplicate entries when a channel retook the #1 position (since removed). The only connection/relation between the channels is simply that they are #1 per some metric; they aren't even necessarily in competition with one another. An SA link to the list article in the various subject articles would fulfill the same purpose as this template does. MSJapan (talk) 05:36, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Template:YouTube most subbed (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Redundant template. It is merely a navbox version of the List of the most subscribed channels on YouTube article (and to make things really circular, the list article is wl'ed in the title of the template), and in fact had duplicate entries when a channel retook the #1 position (since removed). The only connection/relation between the channels is simply that they are #1 per some metric; they aren't even necessarily in competition with one another. An SA link to the list article in the various subject articles would fulfill the same purpose as this template does. MSJapan (talk) 05:36, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 • Reply - "Reader interest" and "press coverage" establish notability, which is a guideline for articles, not templates. If these items were non-notable, we wouldn't even have to have this discussion because the articles being navved through wouldn't be here in the first place. The issue is redundancy - we have a list article that performs the same function as this nav template, and there is also a succession box format in the individual articles which also performs part of this same function. At some point we are simply re-presenting the same information excessively. MSJapan (talk) 15:53, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
