For the third new series of [[Doctor Who]] or the [[2007]] series no huge spoilers have been given out.

However confirmed writers are [[Matthew Graham]], [[Russell T. Davies]], [[Paul Cornell]], [[Gareth Roberts]], [[Helen Raynor]], [[Toby Whithouse]] and [[Tom MacRae]].{{citeneeded}}

The Doctor will get a new companion to replace [[Rose Tyler |Rose]] called [[Martha Jones]]. She will be played by [[Freema Agyeman]] who also played Adeola in [[Army of Ghosts]]. Episode one is rumoured to be set in [[Cardiff]] in which the Doctor and Martha travel to the rift to refuel and meet [[Captain Jack Harkness |Captain Jack]] who works at [[Torchwood]] according to [[Doctor Who Confidential]]. They are also supposed to (in the same episode) enounter the [[Ice Warriors]]. It is also said that they will meet [[William Shakespeare]].{{citeneeded}} Stephen Fry was supposed to write an episode but due to not enough time has apparently had to withdraw his script that was supposed to be set on modern-day Earth as we'd never seen it before and had lots of special effects.{{citeneeded}} It was originally to be in series two but was removed for the short budget. It was replaced by the cheaper and easier [[Fear Her]].{{citeneeded}}
