Hi! I have a question, why have you changed the distribution of the images in this page? Because the photo "Elaine King in the Miami Book Fair International in 2013" is now under the infobox and it is not look very well there...--Ane wiki (talk) 03:45, 11 October 2014 (UTC) |

:KGirlTrucker81 there are a few reasons: A) it's redundant to what is already implied in the warning. B) it's confusing. What is the "Even if" supposed to be modifying? The sentence before it that states, essentially, that asking when you're clearly not ready is just a waste of time? And C), it really breaks the flow of the warning. I won't be able to respond to your reply, because this is the last post I'm going to make tonight. I'm happy that you created an article about the author of Re:Zero, but do you think that Wikipedia is really ready for an article about him? Personally, I don't feel that he meets WP:AUTHOR yet - he comes closest to meeting point #3, but I don't think he quite meets it. Perhaps it would be best to redirect it to Re:Zero for now, like I did with Okayado and Monster Musume? Hi there. Do you have any objection to me merging the two species of Xianshou into the genus article? That way readers get everything in one article without having to navigate 3 articles to get the same info. This is standard in paleo articles, where there is often little to write about individual species: see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Palaeontology#Single-species_articles WikiProject Paleontology. In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created. |
|||
I've had a warning on the article I created earlier today (Sunday 19th October). The article was called: Di Botcher and the warning said that I needed to cite at least one reference. It also said that if there is no reference attached to the article by Sunday 26th October, then the article would be deleted. I have attached a reference to the article and would like to request cancellation of the deletion. <small><span class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned comment added by Thenotfunnyman (talk • contribs) 16:52, 19 October 2014 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> |

:Thenotfunnyman adding the reference automatically cancelled the deletion process. You can edit the article yourself to remove the text which is producing the proposed deletion tag. :Thenotfunnyman I removed the BLPPROD template, but added BLP sources and unreliable sources tags to the article, since IMDB is not considered a reliable source. Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work. |

Hi GS, In this edit at List of Twin Star Exorcists episodes, I pulled out a ton of content because they were dumped without proper attribution by a sockpuppet of Sage of the Six Paths who was indeffed months ago for copyright violations. He apparently still doesn't know how to copy within Wikipedia while giving proper attribution since it looks like he may have yanked them out of the main Twin Star Exorcists article. Anyhow, I notice that some of the episode summaries may have been contributed by you. Can you verify which of the summaries you wrote from scratch? If you did, then they could be restored to the article with proper attribution to Twin Star Exorcists (per WP:CWW). Otherwise, they'll have to be omitted. Many of the summaries were identical to summaries found at Wikia, but in the case of this episode summary it looks like you submitted it several days before it appeared at Wikia. ===Onward!=== |

From your work on BSMI, you seem like the perfect person to take the lead on a 5X expansion of Massachusetts_Medical_Society (currently about 1050, so the target would be 5250 -- BSMI is about 7000 by comparison). The reason I'm mentioning it is that, believe it or not, just about 20 yrs after Bigelow's presentation of the living Phineas Gage to BSMI, in 1868 John Martin Harlow presented Gage's skull to the Mass Medical Society. You probably know that from the Gage article, but what you probably don't know is that Bigelow (who was quite competitive) somewhat upstaged Harlow's presentation of the skull by trotting out -- at the same meeting -- a new accident victim, a miner who'd had an iron pipe blown through his head. (Bigelow had brought the man all the way from Ohio, together with the gas pipe and even the hat Lenn had been wearing, complete with exit and entry holes.) I'm sure we can make a great hook out of this. |
|||
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. |
|||
However, Gage has gotten plenty of exposure this year on WP (he was in On This Day about 5 weeks ago) plus some very visible exposure off WP as well, so we should probably wait -- it would be just weird to have Phineas Gage on the main page all the time, like happened with Gibralter. We can sandbox it and move it to mainspace at the right moment maybe next year e.g. on the anniversary of the accident. Interested? |
|||
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. ::My (admittedly limited) experience with the GA process has been extremely negative -- editors bossily "enforcing" criteria which are either nonexistent or which they completely misunderstand, while unreadable shit gets nonchalantly passed. But assuming you're willing to put up with that particular form of roulette, I think BSMI isn't too far off GA criteria, I think. What strike me offhand are (a) the cites needs a bit of cleanup e.g. Mumford is cited in a mishmash of ways; (b) the writing needs smoothing out along the lines of the copyediting I did for part of it; (c) we should check against Mumford to make sure no major areas of coverage are absent. :::Ram Roldan It appeared that the character summaries you added to the article had been copy-pasted from this article on Anime News Network. Wikipedia can't use text copied from elsewhere, with a few exceptions, such as when the text is in the public domain, or for a quote: even then, proper attribution is needed to give credit to the original author. Take a look at Wikipedia:Copyright violations for more information on this. |

:::Because of this, it's usually impossible to write a plot summary or character introductions before a work comes out, since the only information we can use is the (usually limited) material released by the publisher. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Devils' Line, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sun TV and BS11 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi, thanks for the message. I do not see why you deleted the page Dropidas, great-grandfather of Critias, and perhaps brother of Solon. There was useful information in the page alone that is not contained anywhere in the the Plato page. Anyone searching for Dropidas will find no useful information by being redirected to Plato. Please explain your reasoning for clarification. If you think he truly does merit an article of his own, I suggest starting a draft (which will need sources, possibly from Google Books?) and submitting the draft for peer review via the articles for creation process. Yes, I had included references. Was including a second when you deleted the page. Both were found on google books. The information was valid, as Dropidas is the messenger of large chunks of passages which Critias then passes on to Plato. The passages were referenced down to the page, with the citation provided. I appreciate your advice, however, I believe the page was deleted prematurely. <small><span class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned comment added by ScythianRider (talk • contribs) 03:54, 10 December 2014 (UTC)</span></small> |

:IronBridge No, that would be WP:SYNTH. You need a source that explicitly refers to the series as "yuri". If anyone could use a source that says a: "well, this series contains this", and then use it as a basis to claim b: "well, this genre usually includes this, thus this series is this genre", then there would be no point in using sources at all, because the primary work can be used as a source for a, and thus you could assert that a series was a certain genre based merely on your opinions as to what defined that genre. And we can't have that, because Wikipedia only reports what has already been said by others, not the opinions of our editors. Hello, |

hi, i started to create a page of a notable musician, Shakila Ahmed and it was tagged under speedy deletion. i did not realise while creating a page it can be read by people. i thought i had to get it published first! there are plenty of published material on the singer as a credible personality, deserving a wiki page. i would welcome any suggestion how to go about making the page happen. meanwhile, should i retry with sandbox? |

in the English title "Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World", the translation for "ゼロから" is missing. |

I have asked that the redirection of Blue Northern to Bill Cowsill be reconsidered and I am asking that the speedy deletion also be reconsidered. The page was in the process of development, and so indicated. Please give me time to develop this further. |

With reference to this - it's not a film. Films seem to be an exception to WP:CRYSTAL, I guess because their dates are more locked in stone because there's such a lot of stuff going on around them. But it is an exception - if you look at TV shows etc they just categorise in the "Upcoming xxx" categories. My real issue with that edit is that it generates a red-linked category 2019 anime OVAs which goes against WP:REDNOT - I'd rather just see it in Upcoming xxx at this stage. So if you're going to make edits like that, you should create the associated category, or find a way to disable the category link being made automagically for future events. I don't think having the displaytitle on talk pages is necessary. :Erik I don't see it as a big deal. I don't go around adding it to talk pages: if I create a page, I include it, and if I am already editing a page, then sometimes I will add one. I'm not asking anyone else to do it, nor am I pushing for it to become common practice (after all, we don't need more bureaucracy). ::That's fine, but my concern is that someone will take that approach and run with it. == Made In Abyss == |
|||
I hope I'm doing this correctly. It is the first time using this talk feature. I just wanted to get a better understanding of your undo for the mention I posted in the Made in Abyss article regarding Meinya. My post was based on numerous instances within the manga which both show through graphical depiction and dialog between Prushka and other characters that Meinya's scent allows people to see a path and avoid the effects of the curse. |
|||
Ch30 p15 - Prushka states that Meinya's eyes and legs can sense things humans cannot, and that the curse of the 5th layer does not deprive the senses of those who are not human in her dialog with Riko. |
|||
Ch33 p9-10 - Prushka instructs Riko as they have apparently done before that Riko should smell Meinya's scent and slowly go towards it following Meinya. The next page shows Prushka then guiding Riko up the forbidden stairs. Prushka does not have an issue with the stairs like she has in the past (see Ch37 p12). She states her hair has curled as a result of receiving the 5th layer's curse(see Ch37 p13). |
|||
Ch37 p12-14 - In a flashback we see Prushka follow Meinya up the forbidden stairs without having known of Meinya's scent. She succumbs to the curse as a result. As she recovers Prushka notices the change in her appearance as well as the fact that Meinya has not been affected in the same manner. She continues to investigate the forbidden areas of Idofront, and exclaims to a member of the Umbra Hands that when she sniffs Meinya's fur she can see "fuzzy stuff" she could not see before (remember that Nanachi can also see the curse and used the fog weave to describe her sight and the workings of the curse to Reg). The Umbra Hand states he has heard of such things in the Abyss' creatures, and ponders if Bondrewd is ok with Prushka's new found freedom. Prushka states Bondrewd is not aware of the secret she holds with Meinya, and asks to keep it a secret. On the next page she exclaims that Meinya should use the sense of sight to see everything and watch her go on adventures. |
|||
I'm not saying that I cited evidence properly with my prior addition. I tried including the chapters as citations. Should I use the page references as well? I am simply trying to be more clear on Meinya's attributes based on the above evidence.Nightsky30 (talk) 02:17, 20 March 2019 (UTC) |

== Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks! == |
|||
Hello, |
|||
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia. |
|||
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in! |
|||
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community. |
|||
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org. |
|||
Thank you! |

Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm not trying to step on you or something. I just really don't think that's a good representative picture (being accurate only to Book 4), and also, it's tiny - it doesn't really enlarge any, which is a bit of a minus. So that's where I'm coming from. BUT! I'm not trying to kick it out - I tagged you on purpose on the fair use orphaning, so you'd know. And now knowing that you really want it in there, I've added more to the caption (for context) and adjusted the position (to make it more illustrative of Book 4, from which it came) with the intent to make having both photos in the article supportable as fair use. I hope that works for you. Solarbird (talk) 07:45, 7 January 2015 (UTC) |

Wikipedia clearly states that all edits must be verifiable by legitimate sources. Just so there isn't an edit war, should you find sources that clearly show the creators confirming the claims, then you're welcome to add it back in. Until then, it is NOT fact and shouldn't be added just because a fan of the show thinks it to be fact. (Dubcity4 (talk) 20:32, 7 January 2015 (UTC)) |
|||
:Dubcity4 I've been editing Wikipedia for well over a year now, so I am well versed in most of the important policies. This entire debate has already been settled on Talk:Korra - for specific sources see Talk:Korra#The_Big_List_of_Korra-Asami_Relationship_Sources, which was put together by multiple editors, myself not included. While you may not think that that was the implied ending of the show, I assure you that you are almost certainly alone in that belief. ::I've been editing wikipedia for years now, and your 'justification' for the edit just isn't how editing works. The only thing confirmed by the creators of the show, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, is that Asami and Korra are dating at the season finale (and I've left anything mentioning this on there). It has nothing to do with what I think is the implied ending of the show or how you or any of the editors interpret the ending. As I said earlier, wikipedia edits must be verified by legitimate sources. In terms of the story or how the story should be interpreted, only the creators can verify anything story related. The current references to their tumblr pages do not confirm any of the statements or claims made before my edit, hence why the edit was made. Should you find any sources (interviews, their tumblr page, behind the scenes commentaries) where the creators specifically confirm any particular details, feel free to add them in. As long as you include the references with your edit. (Dubcity4 (talk) 21:01, 7 January 2015 (UTC)) |

::::My apologies (I didn't mean it that way). And no, the current edit still fails to meet wikipedia editing guidelines. I'll be more clear with the problems I have with it. 1)It has never been confirmed that Korra and Asami are bi by the creators (Yes, I read through all previous references). Also, there is nothing in those sources to suggest that Korra and Asami are the first major LGBT characters in a western cartoon. The only thing confirmed is that they're are dating. Now for the claim that they are the first LGBT couple to be represented in Western animation. The USA Today source says, and I quote: "" The IBT source calls the show "". And the Vanity Fair source says "{{tq|sure, there are shows that are more explicit and progressive when depicting same-sex couples. ::::::The ibtimes says that "This is PROBABLY the first ever children's show to have projected a lesbian relationship and fans have mixed reactions about the shocking twist.". The claim here is that the Legend of Korra is the first western animation to feature major characters that are LGBT. This isn't true as Paranorman and the Simpsons did it before the Legend of Korra. Hello, my (and many other users) edits to this Doctor Who page over the past few days have been continuously reverted. It was confirmed last week by Doctor Who Magazine that Block One of filming consisted of episodes 3 and 4 (I happen to have the magazine myself and know this to be true). This information was fully sourced and nobody seemed to have a problem with it being included in the page. Yet on Wednesday, it was confirmed that Toby Whithouse, Daniel O'Hara and Derek Ritchie would be respectively writing, directing and producing this production block. We know (as stated by the BBC) that the episodes in Block One are written by Whithouse. We know that Block One is episodes 3 and 4 from DWM. Therefore Toby Whithouse is writing episodes 3 and 4. Is there something that I've missed or does this make complete sense? --86.134.246.132 (talk) 16:15, 16 January 2015 (UTC) |

::Alright I suppose this does make sense, thanks. Although surely both things cancel each other out? By this WP:SYNTH thing we can have either piece of information in the production box. It would still be correct if Whithouse, O'Hara and Ritchie were included in the Block 1 row without the note of "Episode 3 and 4", and yet it would still be correct if the info was reversed (i.e if "Episode 3 and 4" were listed without mentioning the production staff) as it is at this current moment in time. |

Oh, a bit AGF on your GF revert but can you explain futher why is not useful? KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I'm been doing 01:56, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- @KGirlTrucker81: there are a few reasons: A) it's redundant to what is already implied in the warning. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 03:20, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
RFA
[edit]BlackAmerican would like to nominate you to become an administrator. Please visit Wikipedia:Requests for adminship to see what this process entails, and then contact BlackAmerican to accept or decline the nomination. A page will then be created for your nomination at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/G S Palmer. If you accept the nomination, you must state and sign your acceptance. You may also choose to make a statement and/or answer the optional questions to supplement the information your nominator has given. Once you are satisfied with the page, you may post your nomination for discussion, or request that your nominator do so. |
- @BlackAmerican: I appreciate the offer, I really do. However, I don't feel that I'm ready for adminship at this point, and real life matters limit the amount I can edit Wikipedia, so I wouldn't have time to devote to an RFA. So I'm afraid I must decline. Thanks for your understanding, G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 22:14, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
How much time does an RFA require? Also, I have seen many semi active admins. All the best! BlackAmerican (talk) 22:19, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
- @BlackAmerican: from what I've seen, it requires the candidate to be there, ready to answer questions, for the entire week. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 03:46, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:02, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had doubts about it, but I risked. If you will redirect it to the article, I shalln't see a problem.--White DemΩn (el psy congroo) 13:14, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
- @White Demon: okay, Done. Sorry about that. Hopefully we'll need an article on him sometime in the future. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 17:11, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

- @Kudpung: if you're suggesting that I run for adminship, I'm busy IRL at the moment, but might have time around the middle of December (I can't guarantee any time before that). However, I wouldn't feel comfortable self-nominating, so if I were to run, I would need someone who would be willing to get the process going. New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi G S Palmer,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Copyright question
[edit]Hi GS, In this edit at List of Twin Star Exorcists episodes, I pulled out a ton of content because they were dumped without proper attribution by a sockpuppet of Sage of the Six Paths who was indeffed months ago for copyright violations. Any help you can provide here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and sorry for the hassle. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:00, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: I wrote the episode summaries for episodes 1-8 (see this revision) from scratch. I'll add them to the list right away (with proper attribution, of course). G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 20:33, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

About info table on Re:Zero's manga adaptation of the 2nd arc
[edit]The serialization has stopped. The adaptation ends at chapter 20 (aside from the extra chapter). You can check the Re:Zero wiki, the official twitter or Mangaka the twitter. You can also read the last chapter on batoto.

Hope that helps.
Iron maw (talk) 08:53, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- If you have a Tweet from the official Twitter account confirming serialization has ended, then you can use that as a source. Otherwise, the statement is OR. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 12:49, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, I did some searching and I found that the manga artist mentioned on Twitter that the manga ended in the issue sold at the end of December, and the following month they mention it again when they talk about the mayonnaise chapter that was published in January (which Crunchyroll also did an article on). So it would appear that the mayonnaise chapter was the last serialized chapter on January 25.--十八 20:08, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Junji Ito Collection shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —Farix (t | c) 03:21, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

- @G S Palmer: Which would explain my violation incident earlier. I edited the Akanesasu Shōjo page earlier without knowing the consequences of my actions. Sorry about that.Ram Roldan (talk) 13:40, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Ram Roldan: It appeared that the character summaries you added to the article had been copy-pasted from this article on Anime News Network. Wikipedia can't use text copied from elsewhere, with a few exceptions, such as when the text is in the public domain, or for a quote: even then, proper attribution is needed to give credit to the original author. Take a look at Wikipedia:Copyright violations for more information on this.

- Because of this, it's usually impossible to write a plot summary or character introductions before a work comes out, since the only information we can use is the (usually limited) material released by the publisher. Even writing a heavily-edited version of the plot summary doesn't work, because it will necessarily be similar to the original text: see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing.
- I hope that helps. (By the way, you don't need to ping someone on their own talk page, because they get a notification regardless. Just thought you might want to know.) G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:54, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Fragments of Horror
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Fragments of Horror at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. DYK for Fragments of Horror
[edit]On 22 March 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Fragments of Horror, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Fragments of Horror was Junji Ito's first return to the genre after eight years of writing "manga about cats or about society"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Fragments of Horror. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Fragments of Horror), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 18:30, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Zombieland Saga
[edit]Hello, G S Palmer,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Zombieland Saga should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zombieland Saga .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

- There is a manga and anime wikia which doesn't have Wikipedia's requirements for articles. You can go to [1] and create your article there. Dream Focus 05:13, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Dream Focus: please don't be patronizing to me. It's not as if the AFD is trending strongly towards delete. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 16:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- You are right, it could end up with no consensus default to keep. Or the closing administrator could say it doesn't pass the general notability guidelines, and just eliminate it from mainspace. Either way, the manga anime wikia I created to save articles from deletion on Wikipedia will still welcome your article if you want to stick a copy of it over there. - Sorry I responded the way I did. It felt like you were just trying to shuffle me off to some fan wiki, and I didn't appreciate that. But if that's not what you intended, or even if it was, I shouldn't have gotten irritated at you. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 16:50, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Kobayashi Genre.
[edit]You undid my edit on Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, wherein I added the genre of “Yuri” to the list, on the grounds that my citation makes no mention of this.
The article I cited speaks of the main characters as a lesbian couple, surely this would suffice as a point of reference for labelling it as “Yuri”, which is the anime/manga genre of lesbian love stories.
Regards, IronBridge (talk) 13:05, 9 July 2018 (UTC)IronBridge
- @IronBridge: No, that would be WP:SYNTH. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 15:54, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World
[edit]Hello, in the English title "Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World", the translation for "ゼロから" is missing. --11 Tom (talk) 15:00, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- @11 Tom: Fine, I'm not opposed to putting the literal translation (you said it was "Re: Starting Life in a Different World From Zero"?) in the article. It's not really a big deal, so I guess I shouldn't oppose it. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 19:48, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
Okay! Thank you very much! But I think I put "start" instead of "starting" before you removed the change I made. 11 Tom (talk) 15:38, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- @11 Tom: Just my opinion, but I think "starting" makes more sense than "start" in this context from a grammatical standpoint. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 00:34, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Okay, but I think "starting" is a noun. While "start" can be a verb. 11 Tom (talk) 11:29, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- @11 Tom: I think you've got that switched around. Just look at "a start" vs. "a starting". The former works, the latter doesn't. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 12:14, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Having "start" instead of "starting" also changes the meaning: "start life in another world" is a command, whereas "starting life in another world" is descriptive. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 12:17, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
All right! And thanks for putting "starting" in the article "Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World"! I thought to do it but you did it for me. 11 Tom (talk) 18:09, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Crystal balling
[edit]With reference to this - it's not a film. Films seem to be an exception to WP:CRYSTAL, I guess because their dates are more locked in stone because there's such a lot of stuff going on around them. But it is an exception - if you look at TV shows etc they just categorise in the "Upcoming xxx" categories. My real issue with that edit is that it generates a red-linked category Category:2019 anime OVAs which goes against WP:REDNOT - I'd rather just see it in Upcoming xxx at this stage. So if you're going to make edits like that, you should create the associated category, or find a way to disable the category link being made automagically for future events. Le Deluge (talk) 15:56, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Le Deluge: Anime TV series/OVAs also seem to be an exception, since upcoming premiere dates are almost universally listed in the infobox. Anyway, I created the redlinked category, so that should no longer be an issue. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 16:57, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

Made In Abyss
[edit]I hope I'm doing this correctly.
Ch30 p15 - Prushka states that Meinya's eyes and legs can sense things humans cannot, and that the curse of the 5th layer does not deprive the senses of those who are not human in her dialog with Riko.
I'm not saying that I cited evidence properly with my prior addition. I tried including the chapters as citations. Should I use the page references as well? I am simply trying to be more clear on Meinya's attributes based on the above evidence.Nightsky30 (talk) 02:17, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Nightsky30: sorry for reverting you. The way you described it in your edit summary, it really sounded like WP:OR, and I couldn't remember such a thing from the manga. I'll go and restore your edit. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 13:47, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
[edit]Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
