This article quotes Vogel saying that he has no desire to bring the Reiko character back, and then accuses the situation of being ironic with Reiko being brought back in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Do you honestly think Vogel wanted to bring a lot of those garbage characters back? MK:A's whole premise is that every fighter to participate in any of the Mortal Kombats is returning, that is most likely Boon's idea and NOT Vogel's. It's just an example of hitting the classic "reset button" that's used not only in video game storylines that need new life, but also comic books, television, and other forms of entertainment media. It'd be ironic if you had a quote of Vogel personally approving Reiko when he's already gone on record disapproving...I'm sure he still shares disdain for the character as much of us do. -- Dan N. |

Nonsense, Vogel is an idiot if he truly feels that way. Reiko is one of the better new comers in MK. He is far and away better than those new comers from Deadly Alliance and Deception, and even in his own debuting game he was the best of the new characters. The only ones who even came close to him in those three games were Quan Chi, and Havik. Reiko is far better than the rest of the new comers since MK4. -- [[Reiko Owns All]] |

* No. Reiko's design was based on other human-form Demons. Look at Sareena and Kia. Both share black tattoos on their faces...Sareena's in paticular resembles Reiko's. Jataaka also has facial tattoos, but hers are white instead of black. |

So, I've become a big fan of playing as Reiko in arcade mode. However, both times that I've played as him in Arcade, ''all'' of the regular opponents have been female; the sub-boss the first time was Goro, but the second time, it was Sheeva (which is surprising, as the sub-boss was, I thought, supposed to only consist of the bosses/sub-bosses from previous games, which Sheeva never was). |
|||
Surely this has to be a jab at his feminine name, but I obviously can't add this to the article. Has anyone else noticed this? More importantly, does anyone have any evidence that this actually ''is'' deliberate? It'd make an amusing entry into the trivia section. [[User:EVula|EVula]] 18:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC) |

The throne which Reiko sits in his MK4 has a Brotherhood of Shadow logo on it? The same logo is on Sareena's arms, Kia's clothing, Jataaka's clothing, Reiko's back and on the walls of Shinnok's pyramid in MKM. Is there a possibility that Reiko actually sits Shinnok's throne? Armour the similar to Kahn's...
[edit]Its because he was a general for Kahn's army. If you'll note MK:Deceptions Edenia realm, there are lots of Kahn's soldiers around. All of there is simulair outfits to Reiko.
No mention of Reiko being in MK: Conquest?
Vogel being Ironic?

Reiko as Kahn's Son
[edit]I've seen the scanned MK pages from Game Informer, and nowhere do I see any mention, fan speculation or otherwise, of Reiko being Kahn's son. Is this elsewhere in the issue, or just a total falsehood? Shadaloo 09:59, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
Mere speculation, my friend. The S 03:51, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
MK4 on Gameboy
[edit]To my best knowledge, there was no version of Mortal Kombat 4 for any incarnation of Game Boy.
Yes, there was. Shadaloo 05:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
