Playing Hits From The 50's, 90's And Now

105.3 Wave FM is a local radio station servicing the Wagga Wagga & Riverina region of New South Wales. The Station can be heard from Albury in the south, to Yass in the north, and Junee in the west. Originally known as 2WR, on the AM brand, the station has been broadcasting since the 1940s.

Hosts

Larry Abraham & Joe Bump are the hosts of The Hot Breakfast which runs from 5-9am each weekday. Wave FM News cheif, Rory Popple presents half-hourly news, sport and weather updates for the show - with Tim Thrope taking over in the afternoon.

Daniel Dennis, Laura Smith and Byron Brennan host throughout the day. Weekends feature various announcers including Daniel Dennis, Laura Smith, Byron Brennan, Jayden Livings.

Demographic

The station was originally skewed to a baby boomer demographic, playing the best of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, 90's as well as a few new tunes. However recently they have incorporated more and more new music, and is now a mix of 50's, 90's and new music.

Slogan

The slogan for the station was currently ''50's, 90's and Now'' showing that they play a mix of songs from those eras. Previously they have used ''The Riverina's Best Music Variety", ''Hits That Surprises You'', and Playing Whatever We Feel Like'' slogans.

Ratings

Cumulative audience all people aged 10+, 5am-12midnight, Monday to Sunday is 79,500 Audience share is 20.1%.

News is presented at 5:00am, 5:30am, 6:00am, 6:30am, 7:00am, 7:30am, 8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm, 10:00pm, 11:00pm, 12:00am on weekdays. News is on the hour between 6am and 7pm on weekends.

Tim Thrope (12pm-6pm, weekdays)

News runs for 5 minutes and includes local, national, international news, sport, weather and finance. In breakfast and drive time slots traffic news airs.
