The Hedayat mosque was built in 1327 and from the beginning was used by many movements against the Pahlavi regime. Here, people were educated according to Islamic goals. [[Ayatollah]] [[Mahmoud Taleghani]] was a contemporary of the Iranian revolutionary leader [[Ruhollah Khomeini|Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini]] and a leader in his own right of the movement against the secularist [[Shah]] [[Mohammad Reza Pahlavi]]. [edit]Mahmoud Taleghani attracted many people to participate in the programs of the mosque. He invited Ulama and other intellectuals to lecture there.[2] Mohammad-Javad Bahonar lectured on the criticism of the situation of Hijab in Hedayat mosque.[3]
