{{unblock reviewed | 1=I don't know why I was blocked without proper teaching of U.S copyright law, and that of Virginia. I was blocked without proper mentorship. I have now mentored myself. I am looking for someone to unlock and supervise me, that will tell me what my mistake is, if I make one. | decline = It's your responsibility to understand and follow our policies, not our responsibility to teach you. Nevertheless, people tried. Over and over and over and over again, right here. It didn't make any difference at all. Your unblock request doesn't give me any hope that we can be absolutely sure you'll never again violate copyright, either. {{unblock reviewed | 1=You don't know. I already know what the block is like. I already feel punished, and I will not do that again because I know what the mistake was, and I know the consequences. You don't understand: You need to know your mistake before you fix it. Sending links to Wikipedia policy links is often useless, because the policy is usually hidden under thousands of words of policy on that policy page. Now that I know the mistakes, and I know the punishment of them, I will comply with the mistake. I just need to be able to know what I can and can't do on Wikipedia. Which is what I did. Do you understand that no one is perfect. Throwing out people just because they make mistakes will soon lead to (1) A Wikipedia Oligopoly, or (2) A Wikipedia where the only edits are made by bots, which are not perfect either. Especially when blocks are easier than ever before. Did I make that clearer. One last note: If you do unblock me, should you review edits that I make and only let some go through. I'd appreciate that. I am happy to be given a supervised second chance. Thanks. | decline = I'm sorry, but I just don't think you get it. It's not about making one or two mistakes. It's about your total disregard for essential Wikipedia policy on copyright issues, despite multiple users trying to steer you in the right direction. Like User:Yamla, I have zero faith based on your unblock request and your history that you will edit Wikipedia in a responsible way. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 19:47, 5 February 2017 (UTC)}} |

Premeditated Chaos Do you understand that, with the exception of most drug dealers, when people are punished, they don't want to be punished again. I suggest reading every policy and guideline and come back again and try to ask for a unblock in a few months/years explaining what you did wrong and what you will do to stop the behavior, and hope an admin will if they feel its the right thing to do, unblock you. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Template:User child and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Template:User child during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of Euclayptus notabilis
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Euclayptus notabilis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — Smjg (talk) 22:29, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Pullen Pullen
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Pullen Pullen. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Pullen Pullen Reserve. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Pullen Pullen Reserve – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 00:30, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kaskaskia–Cahokia Trail
[edit]Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kaskaskia–Cahokia Trail requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://monroecountynews.net/county-designates-kaskaskia-cahokia-trail/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
Exemplo347 (talk) 00:36, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
(David Dylan (talk) 00:41, 12 January 2017 (UTC)) the copyvios have been removed (David Dylan (talk) 00:41, 12 January 2017 (UTC))
Removing copyright violations takes more than what you have done. That is an overly-close paraphrasing. You need to completely rewrite it in your own words.Meters (talk) 03:35, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Rajapruk University, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Stop removing the speedy. Let an admin look at it and decide. You appear to have no idea how to fix the article properly so I suggest that you leave it alone. `Meters (talk) 03:55, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

Please don't assess speedy deletions
[edit]Hi David Dylan and thanks for the work you do here. I have a request: Please don't assess speedy deletions, like you did at Driver's licenses in Trinidad and Tobago. Please leave this job to administrators familiar with dealing with copyright violations so that (1) the article can be properly and promptly cleaned and (2) revision deletion of the page history can be done. - PLEASE read up on Wikipedia policies, and ask questions if you have them, many Wikipedians will be more then happily help you out!

- I'm not trying to be uncivil to User:David Dylan or to chase him away, and I agree that this is not a case of bad faith editing. but he really does not seem to get the copyright issue. This is becoming a WP:CIR issue. He cannot copy material verbatim. He cannot simply change the order of a few words and claim that he has addressed the copyright issue. He cannot simply change a few words and claim that he has addressed the copyright issues. There have been multiple incidents pointed out by several editors, and yet he continues. I'll stay off this page unless I template him or report him to ANI, Meters (talk) 22:19, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
@Zppix: I do not understand the copyvio problem, as Wikipedia is full of lists, and Wikipedia has to be verifiable, when I place sourced lists on Wikipedia, the lists are removed because of copyvios; giving a free pass only to unverifiable lists. Wikipedia must be verifiable, with lists as no exeption. Lists are part of Wikipedia, so why did, out of the necessity for verifiability, verifiable lists get deleted, because their verifiability triggers the Earwig Copyvio Detector (David Dylan (talk) 22:31, 18 January 2017 (UTC))
- First off copyvio is not verifiable you must use the references you get the info from and write it completely in your own words meaning if a references said "Bob ate an Western Pumpkin Pie" you wouldnt use that you would instead say "The Western Pumpkin Pie was eaten by Bob." Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 01:34, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
@Zppix: So how does that play into making a decent list. (David Dylan (talk) 01:46, 19 January 2017 (UTC))
- Please read WP:LIST --Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 01:47, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
@Zppix: That didn't show the copyright implications for lists. The fact that it is impossible to reword a list can be interpreted as a copyvio, as the proper nouns that make up the list cannot be reworded. And it has. Try rewording "Massachusetts" and stating it in your own words. Most lists are made completely out of proper nouns.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. [edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at East-West Corridor. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. [edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

- I've removed my A7 request. The claim that it existed is a credible claim of significance. Note that that is not the same as showing that it is notable. You still need to add reliable sources to show its notability. And the ref you currently have, NERAIL, is just an internet mailing list and is not a reliable source. See WP:RS, particularly WP:USERGENERATED. Meters (talk) 06:10, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
@Chrissymad: Please revert your contribution to Nashua, Acton and Boston Railroad, as you should not cencor encyclopedic content. Please then reword it in your own words. Thanks.
Proposed deletion of Nashua, Acton & Boston Railroad
[edit]The article Nashua, Acton & Boston Railroad has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Several dozen revisions worth of copyvio/heavy paraphrasing and purpose of article is not entirely clear. Perhaps WP:BLOWITUP.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chrissymad ❯❯❯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 00:01, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]I'm sorry to inform you, but I have indefinitely blocked your account. The continual addition of copyright content from external websites continues to be a significant problem which you are continually failing to remedy. I appreciate you continue to try and reword content, changing a word here or there, but the core content you copy remains so substantially similar that the original copyright continues to exist.
When you write content on Wikipedia, you must write that content, from the ground up, using your own sentences and paragraphs, not just changing a word or two. If you are writing content properly, you should really be merging content from multiple sources into one completely new piece of text, which has few if any similarities to any of the original sources you have used whilst researching a subject.
I hope that you can read our policies on copyright, close paraphrasing and the like thoroughly. The block, whilst indefinite, can be lifted and you can resume editing when we are happy you are no longer a plagiarism concern for Wikipedia. Nick (talk) 00:06, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Request reason:
I don't know why I was blocked without proper teaching of U.S copyright law, and that of Virginia. I was blocked without proper mentorship. I have now mentored myself. I am looking for someone to unlock and supervise me, that will tell me what my mistake is, if I make one.
Decline reason:
It's your responsibility to understand and follow our policies, not our responsibility to teach you. Nevertheless, people tried. Over and over and over and over again, right here. It didn't make any difference at all. Your unblock request doesn't give me any hope that we can be absolutely sure you'll never again violate copyright, either. Unblocking you would put the Wikipedia project in jeopardy, so I'm declining your request. Yamla (talk) 18:18, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

Request reason:
You don't know. Thanks.
Decline reason:
I'm sorry, but I just don't think you get it. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 19:47, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

- David, Don't tell only parts of the story, I offered to mentor you until you decided to then backstab me, now @Nick:'s block is pretty valid, you were told to stop, by many others. Now, do yourself a favor and STOP digging a deeper hole. I tried to prevent this but you completely disregarded my help, this is no-ones fault but your own. I'm sorry I've tried to AGF but with this continued behavior I cannot anymore. I suggest reading every policy and guideline and come back again and try to ask for a unblock in a few months/years explaining what you did wrong and what you will do to stop the behavior, and hope an admin will if they feel its the right thing to do, unblock you. While I do believe that your first couple times were in fact in good faith the fact you continued shows to many editors a sign of bad faith towards Wikipedia. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 23:05, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
@Premeditated Chaos: I used actual effort to remove those copyvios. Also, I was trying to propose edits in users pace, not directly edit them David Dylan (talk) 14:23, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I wanted a survey on my editing behavior, not full unblock. David Dylan (talk) 14:25, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I used thesaurus substitutions not knowing that was incorrect. David Dylan (talk) 14:28, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
That's what I did wrong. David Dylan (talk) 14:30, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
But anyway, I know what I did to deserve the punishment. Thanks for giving me a time out. Now I know what the problem. David Dylan (talk) 14:37, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Was. Sorry for the mumbling. David Dylan (talk) 14:37, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- Please read WP:MINORS, and also note age doesnt mean anything in punishment Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 17:43, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I see time different. David Dylan (talk) 18:23, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
@Zppix: I feel punished enough to not do it again. Also you said a few months/years. David Dylan (talk) 18:25, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I have read up on libel. David Dylan (talk) 18:27, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I have read up on changing username policy. David Dylan (talk) 18:35, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- Really... its still the same exact week I posted that comment... I really just suggest just accepting what we all been saying and move on with life, I don't care if your 55 or 2 months old, everyone is given the same punishments. I'm not an admin by any means, but I can tell you this, I cannot see an admin unblocking you anytime this month. Now please move on. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 21:45, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
@Zppix: I refuse to help anyone. I refuse to use computers. I refuse to use the web. I refuse to use Wikipedia. You'll ask me to get a life on Google+. I will tell you that I should have been unblocked. David Dylan (talk) 21:54, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
(block log • active blocks • global blocks • autoblocks • contribs • deleted contribs • abuse filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
