It says here that Vernatti Baronets is a title in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia. There is no link between the 1st Baronet and Canada. I don't know who the second Baronet is, the first did not have a son with the name Philibert a.f.a.I.k., and whether he had some relation with the new world. But I assume the Baronetage of Nova Scotia is just wrong. Anyone? [[User:Jan Arkesteijn|Jan Arkesteijn]] ([[User talk:Jan Arkesteijn|talk]]) 17:23, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

:P.S.: [https://books.google.nl/books?id=JdNn2xcmVrEC This book] says he participated in the Scottish glass industry, and [https://books.google.nl/books?id=YBpAAQAAMAAJ&q=Philibert+Vernatti&dq=Philibert+Vernatti this book] says he was created baronet of Nova Scotia. This question seems to be answered: The Baronetage of Nova Scotia was created to subsidize colonies in Nova Scotia. Baronets were required to donate funds for that. It does not mean Baronets in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia were actually involved in Nova Scotia, if I'm correct. Nova Scotia

[edit]

It says here that Vernatti Baronets is a title in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia. There is no link between the 1st Baronet and Canada. I assume the Baronetage of Nova Scotia is just wrong. Anyone? Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 17:23, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: This book says he participated in the Scottish glass industry, and this book says he was created baronet of Nova Scotia. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 12:54, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
