Puerto Rico, a territory of the U.S.A.

Since Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States of America, working citizens are taxed income tax. They should not be taxed because they are not allowed to elect representatives in the U.S. Congress nor are they allowed to vote in a Presidential election. This is taxation without representation. Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Though the current information on date format is also unsourced; not sure if we should remove it entirely. This seems to be a common issue for date formats, as seen in List of date formats by country, presumably because date formats are so commonly used that no one actually bothers to formalise them in text. Immigration and emigration

I have removed the following sentence, which is obviously incorrect as written and not supported by the reference. It was possibly intended to refer to legal immigrants.

As of 2019, Puerto Rico was home to 100,000 permanent legal residents.^[1]

Commonwealth Status allows Puerto Rico to keep its culture while maintain a strong, quasi-state relationship with the United States. There should be a major section on Maria, with a possible link to it's own page and possibly put both arguments regarding the efforts to help PR- one being that it is slow and the political corruption, followed by what the president of US and the governor of PR believes that good efforts are being made. We should also edit that page on a daily basis considering that this is a recent thing and many people do not understand the severity of this situation. Considering it's been a month I thought it would have more than a sentence. I will also get on this as well.

-As for the political status you are right, it should have it's own section and only have brief mentions of it (like the referendums and the political party). But I also think that because this is an important, controversial and very prominent topic in PR I guess that's why they put it there.
