Dear UKPong. I trust we have dealt with the COI issue. I have received a message from Jimfbleak citing the article needs independent citations for notability. I intend to gather these into the draft. Can I rely upon your assistance moving forward, and if there are issues moving forward, perhaps we can work together to resolve them? :I have looked into more of your contributions and found some very strong indicators that you were not being honest about not writing for pay during [[Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_127#Ukpong1]]. Per [[WP:BEANS]] I am not going to explain them to you, but if you request an unblock, I will explain to another uninvolved administrator in private. {{unblock reviewed | 1=I have been accused of being involved in Paid editing, investigations were carried out at COI noticeboard by Smartse and he says he "found some very strong indicators" that i was otherwise being paid. I feel deeply saddened at this accusations. I have never for once received payment for any article. Please i am appealing for another admin to look into this. And if Smartse can please explain why i have been blocked for no stated or obvious reason.... My only crime and suspicion is creating articles of which are not that of my Wikiproject, just like some founding editors who are now admins i have closely followed [[User:Academic Challenger|Academic Challenger]] and [[User:Aymatth2|Aymatth2]] who have created articles diversely, including some article which i first edited. There's no crime in it [[User:Ukpong1|Zazzysa]] ([[User talk:Ukpong1#top|talk]]) 21:03, 7 March 2018 (UTC) | decline = I have very extensively checked your editing history. A significant part of your editing is promotional. It seems very likely indeed that you have an undisclosed conflict of interest and have at times edited on behalf of subjects of articles you have written about. However, even if that were not so, promotional editing is not acceptable. <small>''The editor who uses the pseudonym''</small> "[[User:JamesBWatson|JamesBWatson]]" ([[User talk:JamesBWatson#top|talk]]) 13:02, 16 March 2018 (UTC)}}

== Request to Look into UPE/COI investigation by Smartse ==

{{u|DGG}}, {{u|Jytdog}} and {{u|Aymatth2}}.

{{u|Smartse}} opened an investigation against me over concerns of UPE/COI then he accuses me of being Mastersock of a bunch of accounts including a member of WikiProject Nigeria {{u|Mahveotm}}. I was stripped of my rights which i had no problem with, for the sake of whatsoever investigation he was carrying out as at the initial point in time. Few weeks later yesterday he blocks my account for reasons he intends to keep private to himself and reveal only to concerned admins. Note that investigation at COI noticeboard is still active but Archived. Even after i was stripped of rights i continued doing what i did, creating articles of which i feel are Wikipedia worthy. When i first joined Wiki i noticed {{u|Aymatth2}} had created most articles in Nigeria (including [[Godswill Akpabio]] a page he also created) even if he wasn't from here and ever since i have been striving to do same. His only problem is that i have been creating different articles which he says are "Promotional". I will be also kindly request another admin to go through the pages i have created and judge.

{{u|Smartse}}'s reason for blocking me is only laughable as i've never seen anyone being blocked directed to [[WP:BEANS]] which is just a humorous essay. I would politely and respectfully ask Smartse to send his evidence to the arbitration committee, if they decide to block me, then i will settle with that. You are involved party and as such shouldn't be performing my block. I hope my request is considered. [[User:Ukpong1|Zazzysa]] ([[User talk:Ukpong1#top|talk]]) 07:58, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

:I have never accused you of socking and in fact [https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3ASockpuppet_investigations%2FPilot375%2FArchive&type=revision&diff=829278576&oldid=828298488 say the exact opposite]. While many of your contributions have been positive, I have seen too many redflags that indicate to me that you have been liberal with the truth. It's not that articles are inherently promotional, but that is not the point. I reference BEANS, because pointing out what I consider to be damning evidence will only assist you from being detected in the future. Hardly an ideal situation, I agree, but I don't see many other options. [[User:Smartse|SmartSE]] ([[User talk:Smartse|talk]]) 08:40, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
:: {{u|Smartse}} I'm sorry for replying late as i have been feeling over discouraged and disappointed even as none of the admins i have mentioned has said anything. Yes you didn't accuse me but however it'd come up that i maybe a sock by another user, though that was cleared there's still an issue which is, i have been blocked for something i didn't do. I've sat for days thinking about this and it's just very depressing that i may have wasted my time thinking i was actually having some impact just for this to happen. @Smartse for whatsoever reason or evidence you think you have that i did what you are accusing me of, i beg for you to reanalyze it, please. [[User:Ukpong1|Zazzysa]] ([[User talk:Ukpong1#top|talk]]) 21:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
:::If I wasn't convinced then I wouldn't have blocked you. Jytdog and Aymatth2 aren't admins. I presume DGG has looked at this, but nobody has emailed me to get more details. I can share them with more admins in private (I already discussed it with [[User:JzG]]) but I'm not happy with disclosing the evidence to you. ==File permission problem with File:Hunter payton photo.jpg==
[[File:Copyright-problem.svg|64px|left|alt=|link=]]
Thanks for uploading '''[[:File:Hunter payton photo.jpg]]'''. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
* make a note permitting reuse under the [[WP:CC-BY-SA|CC-BY-SA]] or another acceptable free license (see [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Free licenses|this list]]) '''at the site of the original publication'''; or
* Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to '''permissions-en@wikimedia.org''', stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter [[WP:CONSENT|here]]. If you take this step, add {{tl|OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to '''permissions-en@wikimedia.org'''.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at [[Wikipedia:Non-free content]], use a tag such as {{tl|non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use]], and add a [[Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline|rationale]] justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See [[Wikipedia:File copyright tags]] for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in [{{fullurl:Special:Log|type=upload&user=Ukpong1}} your upload log]. == New Page Review Newsletter No.10 ==

<div style="border:2px solid #90C0FF; background:#F0F0FF; width:99%; padding:4px">
Hello {{BASEPAGENAME}}, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages! {{Notabilityguide}}
'''ACTRIAL''':
*[[WP:ACTRIAL|ACTRIAL]]'s six month experiment restricting new page creation to [[WP:AUTOCONFIRM|(auto)confirmed]] users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the [[Special:NewPagesFeed|feed]] again, and the backlog has since increased already by '''~30%'''. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

'''Paid editing'''
*Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator <u>if appropriate</u>, and submit the issue to [[WP:COIN]] if necessary.

'''Subject-specific notability guidelines'''
*The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant [[WP:BEFORE|BEFORE]] nominating an article for deletion.
*Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for [[WP:ORG|organisations and companies]]. A further discussion is currently taking place at: [[Wikipedia_talk:Notability#Can_a_subject_specific_guideline_invalidate_the_General_Notability_Guideline?|Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?]]

'''Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled'''
*While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the '[[WP:Autopatrolled|Autopatrolled]]' user right [[Wikipedia:Requests_for_permissions/Autopatrolled|HERE]].

'''News'''
*The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper [[Wikipedia:The Signpost|''The Signpost'']] has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2018-03-29/Special report|'''''ACTRIAL wrap-up''''']] that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. ''The Signpost'' is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the ''The Signpost's'' editorial team for the next issue.

== [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|Proposed deletion]] of [[:Ciara Wilson]] ==
[[File:Ambox warning yellow.svg|left|link=|alt=Notice|48px|]]

The article [[:Ciara Wilson]] has been [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed for deletion]]&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>As per talk page: article was written by now banned editor with undeclared COI. More concerning though is that the article subject does not meet [[WP:NACTOR]] – at best, we have one possibly "significant role" on a sketch comedy TV series for a now defunct "mobile" TV channel. Other appearances are not "significant", and mostly consist of guest roles. At best, [[WP:TOOSOON]].</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be [[WP:DEL#REASON|deleted for any of several reasons]].

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your [[Help:edit summary|edit summary]] or on [[Talk:Ciara Wilson|the article's talk page]].

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion process]], but other [[Wikipedia:deletion process|deletion process]]es exist. In particular, the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion]] process can result in deletion without discussion, and [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|articles for deletion]] allows discussion to reach [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> --[[User:IJBall|IJBall]] <small>([[Special:Contributions/IJBall|contribs]] • [[User talk:IJBall|talk]])</small> 06:50, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

==Your draft article, [[Draft:Infinix Hot 4]]==
[[File:Information icon4.svg|48px|left|alt=|link=]]

Hello, Ukpong1. It has been over six months since you last edited the [[WP:AFC|Articles for Creation]] submission or [[WP:Drafts|Draft]] page you started, "[[Draft:Infinix Hot 4|Infinix Hot 4]]".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia [[WP:mainspace|mainspace]], the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply {{edit|Draft:Infinix Hot 4|edit the submission}} and remove the {{tlc|db-afc}}, {{tlc|db-draft}}, or {{tlc|db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at [[WP:REFUND/G13|this link]]. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. <!-- Template:Db-draft-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> [[User:CptViraj|CptViraj]] ([[User talk:CptViraj|📧]]) 08:12, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
==[[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|Speedy deletion]] nomination of [[:Gymnastics at the Games of the 18th Olympics - Free Female Body]]==
[[File:Ambox warning pn.svg|48px|left|alt=|link=]]

A tag has been placed on [[:Gymnastics at the Games of the 18th Olympics - Free Female Body]] requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

<blockquote>A10 duplicate of [[Gymnastics at the 1964 Summer Olympics – Women's floor exercise]]. While created in 2017, the page has been orphaned since creation, and this poorly translated title is implausible as a redirect.</blockquote>

Under the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|criteria for speedy deletion]], pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by [[:Gymnastics at the Games of the 18th Olympics - Free Female Body|visiting the page]] and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with [[Wikipedia:List of policies|Wikipedia's policies and guidelines]]. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Gymnastics+at+the+Games+of+the+18th+Olympics+-+Free+Female+Body|deleting administrator}}, or if you have already done so, you can place a request [[WP:RFUD|here]]. <!-- Template:Db-reason-notice --> [[User:Sammi Brie|<span style="color:#f06292">Sammi Brie</span>]] (she/her • [[User talk:Sammi Brie|t]] • [[Special:Contributions/Sammi Brie|c]]) 01:54, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Women's History Month 2018 at Women in Red

[edit]
Welcome to Women in Red's March 2018 worldwide online editathons.

Historically, our March event has been one of the biggest offerings of the year. This year, we are collaborating with two other wiki communities. Our article campaign is the official on-line/virtual node for Art+Feminism. Our image campaign supports the Whose Knowledge? initiative. Women's History Month 2018

Continuing: #1day1woman Global Initiative

Dear UKPong. I trust we have dealt with the COI issue. I have received a message from Jimfbleak citing the article needs independent citations for notability. I intend to gather these into the draft. Can I rely upon your assistance moving forward, and if there are issues moving forward, perhaps we can work together to resolve them? Nick Hill (talk) 12:14, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have looked into more of your contributions and found some very strong indicators that you were not being honest about not writing for pay during Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_127#Ukpong1. Per WP:BEANS I am not going to explain them to you, but if you request an unblock, I will explain to another uninvolved administrator in private. SmartSE (talk) 17:24, 7 March 2018 (UTC)\[reply]

Request reason:

I have been accused of being involved in Paid editing, investigations were carried out at COI noticeboard by Smartse and he says he "found some very strong indicators" that i was otherwise being paid. I feel deeply saddened at this accusations. I have never for once received payment for any article. Please i am appealing for another admin to look into this. And if Smartse can please explain why i have been blocked for no stated or obvious reason.... My only crime and suspicion is creating articles of which are not that of my Wikiproject, just like some founding editors who are now admins i have closely followed Academic Challenger and Aymatth2 who have created articles diversely, including some article which i first edited. There's no crime in it Zazzysa (talk) 21:03, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I have very extensively checked your editing history. A significant part of your editing is promotional. It seems very likely indeed that you have an undisclosed conflict of interest and have at times edited on behalf of subjects of articles you have written about. However, even if that were not so, promotional editing is not acceptable. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:02, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request to Look into UPE/COI investigation by Smartse

[edit]

DGG, Jytdog and Aymatth2.

Smartse opened an investigation against me over concerns of UPE/COI then he accuses me of being Mastersock of a bunch of accounts including a member of WikiProject Nigeria Mahveotm. When i first joined Wiki i noticed Aymatth2 had created most articles in Nigeria (including Godswill Akpabio a page he also created) even if he wasn't from here and ever since i have been striving to do same. His only problem is that i have been creating different articles which he says are "Promotional". I will be also kindly request another admin to go through the pages i have created and judge.

Smartse's reason for blocking me is only laughable as i've never seen anyone being blocked directed to WP:BEANS which is just a humorous essay. I would politely and respectfully ask Smartse to send his evidence to the arbitration committee, if they decide to block me, then i will settle with that. You are involved party and as such shouldn't be performing my block. I hope my request is considered. Zazzysa (talk) 07:58, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have never accused you of socking and in fact say the exact opposite. SmartSE (talk) 08:40, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Smartse I'm sorry for replying late as i have been feeling over discouraged and disappointed even as none of the admins i have mentioned has said anything. Zazzysa (talk) 21:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If I wasn't convinced then I wouldn't have blocked you. Jytdog and Aymatth2 aren't admins. I presume DGG has looked at this, but nobody has emailed me to get more details. I can share them with more admins in private (I already discussed it with User:JzG) but I'm not happy with disclosing the evidence to you. SmartSE (talk) 21:28, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ukpong1. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  Al Tayyar Travel Group has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Users who do so may be blocked from editing. Promotional content is vigorously deleted. Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

File permission problem with File:Hunter fischer.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hunter fischer.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. New Page Review Newsletter No.10

[edit]
Hello Ukpong1, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

Notice

The article Ciara Wilson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As per talk page: article was written by now banned editor with undeclared COI. More concerning though is that the article subject does not meet WP:NACTOR – at best, we have one possibly "significant role" on a sketch comedy TV series for a now defunct "mobile" TV channel. Other appearances are not "significant", and mostly consist of guest roles. At best, WP:TOOSOON.

A tag has been placed on Gymnastics at the Games of the 18th Olympics - Free Female Body requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

A10 duplicate of Gymnastics at the 1964 Summer Olympics – Women's floor exercise. While created in 2017, the page has been orphaned since creation, and this poorly translated title is implausible as a redirect.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notice

The article Free2Luv has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable organisation. Lacks coverage in independent reliable sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
