Carney Landis (or Landis’ Facial Expressions Experiment)

==Psychologists==
Carney Landis (Jan. 11 1897 - Mar. 5 1962) was a research psychologist, and notably the Chief Research Psychologist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Hospital. He is perhaps most notable for his Facial Expressions Experiment, in which he drew lines on participants’ faces and examined their expressions as he subjected them to emotional trauma (for example, a thirteen-year-old boy was made to cut off a living rat’s head).

  • p factor (psychopathology)[5] (note: It currently links to psychopathology, which already has a burgeoning section on it. I believe the source I gave proves that it can be expanded and spun into its own article.)
  • Prevalence-induced concept change (The phenomenon where the threshold for identifying a certain category or phenomenon gradually shifts as instances of that category become less frequent. As the prevalence of the category decreases, our definitions and criteria for identifying it expand, leading to a broader concept that encompasses a wider range of instances. This concept change can result in a persistent perception of a problem or issue even when it diminishes in reality.) ([21][22])
  • productivity anxiety/ productivity guilt
  • rejection sensitive dysphoria
  • religious bias Religious bias exists in the absolute and relative ethical domains. Bias can be against religion or religious beliefs may cause a bias in perspective. In the absolute domain of ethics, religion is problematic. In the relative ethics domain, society grapples with how to support religious freedom, even when those religious beliefs may be counter to the welfare of the members of that society; related to List of cognitive biases [23] [24]
  • remote associates test
  • retention (memory), in learning, the ability to retain facts and figures in memory
