I looked at a map at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashotah,_Wisconsin#/media/File:Waukesha_County_Wisconsin_Incorporated_and_Unincorporated_areas_Nashotah_Highlighted.svg
It has no legend. It has four colorations: red, white, and gray, plus gray and white 'checkerboard.'

Hey there! Looks like many of the edits you've made in the last 12 hours or so to "modify historical population" have caused duplicate reference definition errors on the pages you've been changing. Are you using a certain tool to make these edits? The errors end up disrupting the referencing for the article. I'd normally fix these problems and move along, but you've made dozens of such edits, each resulting in a new error.

Semi-automated edits
Howdy hello! Wanted to leave a friendly reminder. When you are using semi-automated tools, such as scripts, you are responsible for the edits you make. If the tool makes an error, it is not the tool that has made it, it is you. If you make errors, and do not fix them, you are responsible. Misuse of tools may lead to them being revoked, or leave you blocked (which would be no good!). I say this because you recently made several hundred edits using the CenPop script, and a fair number of them introduced errors that now have to be cleaned up. Remember, even when using scripts, quality, not quantity, matters most. Take an extra second to review a page after you've used a script; it saves you and others heartache. Smooth sailing, <span style="color:#6a1f7f">CaptainEek</span> <span style="font-size:82%"><span style="color:#a479e5">Edits Ho Cap'n!</span></span>⚓ 21:05, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
:Oh, as a side note: its good practice to link the script you're using in the edit summary. The script seems to leave a summary mentioning the script, but not linking to it, could you fix that? Thanks. I noticed that when you updated the population and area of Ossining, New York with a script, you used the numbers for the village, rather than for the town. Be careful of that. Thanks. Kk.urban (talk) 23:16, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Motion for arbitration

[edit]

You are involved in a recently proposed case for arbitration. Please review the motion at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Motions#Historical elections. If you wish to do so, enter your statement and any other material you wish to submit to the Arbitration Committee. Additionally, the guide to arbitration and the Arbitration Committee's procedures may be of use. SilverLocust 💬 20:49, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus was clearly achieved in favor of not removing elements of county pages (presidential election results) that had been there for decades and are clearly a key aspect of understanding a county. I'm not sure what this is about? DemocraticLuntz (talk) 22:08, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration case opened

[edit]

You were recently listed as a party to a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Historical elections. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Historical elections/Evidence. Please add your evidence by August 20, 2024, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Historical elections/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Party Guide/Introduction. For the Arbitration Committee, HouseBlaster (talk · he/they) 00:46, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

404 in evidence

[edit]

Just thought you'd be interested to know that an external link in your evidence for arbitration leads (at least for me) to a 404 error. — Alien333 ( what I did

My Twitter/X account is on private right now for personal reasons, and I can't change that for some Wikipedia thing, sorry about this! DemocraticLuntz (talk) 16:52, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, ok, sorry for the disturbance. (Don't apologize to me, I'm just some random bored editor reading stuff around). — Alien333 ( what I did

Please review this decision and draw the arbitrators' attention to any relevant material or statements. Comments may be brought to the attention of the committee on the proposed decision talk page. The arbitration case Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Historical elections has now closed, and the final decision is viewable at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

 • The results of any national or sub-national election are a Contentious Topic. Starting in 2026 and checked yearly afterwards, this designation expires on 1 January if no sanctions have been logged in the preceding 2 years.
 • The regular posters on X who associate with Election Twitter are reminded that there is no ownership of articles on the English Wikipedia. They are encouraged to seek consensus on the article talk page, use dispute resolution when they encounter disagreements and refrain from off-site coordination.
 • The Arbitration Committee block of Talleyrand6 (talk · contribs) is converted to an indefinite ban from Wikipedia. This ban may be appealed twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.
 • Anonymousioss (talk · contribs) is topic banned from national and sub-national elections. This restriction may be appealed twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.
