I started editing Wikipedia semi-regularly in mid 2004. My first edit with this username was on the 12 June 2004. I have also made a handful of anonymous contributions before and after that date. I try hard not to review things or introduce bias to this wiki. I am trying maintain an average of at least 75 edits per month. My main space edit count has topped 800. If I was at least 85% accurate I would be happy.

I think Wikipedia is a great worthwhile site and I am consistently dazzled by its scope. I admire the ambitious nature of this massive project and I wonder when it will end. To me,
Wikipedia appears to be a virtual reality that has allowed a self-organising community based on merit and donations to form. I find Wikipedia is a rewarding and productive place to learn a great deal, although it is somewhat haphazard and potentially dubious.

I like exploring and fixing up stuff, some project work, like WikiProject Australia, maybe adding a few photos and category links, fleshing out some topics and starting stubs.
I want to learn about the use of capitalisation, wiki code and etiquette, editing policy and standards so I get entries most correct the first time. I want to learn more about the special pages, category tags, naming conventions and work with blank maps. I'm glad to see an idea I had previously proposed has been implemented as editor reviews.

To do
I want to shorten this page to under 2000 words. I am trying to improve my grammer, punctuation and writing style as I bring order and more structure to this page. I am going to start on articles like energy rationing, energy sustanability, animal energy, human energy, vortex energy, energy theory of cultural evolution, biomass solar, peak demand and overshoot (ecology). I will help with neglected places like Tasmantis, Bounty Trough, Challenger Plateau, Tasman Basin, New Caledonia Basin and South Pacific Basin.

Then these articles about people Keith Williams (developer), Michael Barkun, Gordon Prather, Brian Fleay, Jay Hanson, John Michael Greer, John Kaminski, Eric Hufschmid, Jared Israel, Dale Allen Pfeiffer, Kjell Aleklett, Matt Savinar, Jeremy Leggett, Walter Youngquist, Marshall Auerback, Daryl Bradford Smith, Kevin Barrett, Edward Said, Jared Diamond, Michael Ruppert, Greg Palast, David Ray Griffin, Peter Dale Scott, Cynthia McKinney, Catherine Austin Fitts, Jim Marrs, Barrie Zwicker, Jim Hoffman, Jorge Hirsch, Paul Thompson, James Howard Kunstler, Michael C. Ruppert, Webster G. Tarpley, Alex Jones, Michel Chossudovsky, Ray McGovern, Maureen Dowd, Edward O. Wilson, Jean Laherrère, Ali Samsam Bakhtiari, Roberto Burle Marx, Pareto, Richard Stallman, Linus Torvalds, Charles Darwin, Immanuel Kant, Hugo Chavez, Michael Meacher, Cindy Sheehan and Benoit Mandelbrot.

I want to work on Energy policy, Energy crisis, Energy quality, Energy consumption, Energy balance, Energy flow, Energy storage, Energy intensity, Energy conservation, Power conservation, Power outage, Clean coal, Biodiesel, Resource depletion, Social ecology, Carrying capacity, Population density, Feudalism, Primitivism, Environmentalism, Anarchism, Pacifism, Feminism, Transhumanism, Infoanarchism, Criticism, Activism, Localization, Extremism, Psychology, Psychogeography, Palaeogeography, Geomorphology, Tropics, Glade (geography), Landmass, Artesian basin and Global warming and agriculture.

I want to know more about and contribute to Alternative media, Solidarity, Free Speech, Communication, Collaboration, Integrity, Ontogeny, Meme, Social progress, Integration, Trust, Preference, Civil Liberties, Civil disobedience, Chaos, Fractal, Human rights, Aesthetics, Public Domain, Semantic Web, Spiral of silence, Reverse Engineering, Metadata, Classification, Ontologies, Literacy, Archive, Library, Books, Language, Protocol, Puzzle, Paradox, Complexity, Moderation, Panocracy, Grassroots, Boycott, Plot, Paradigm shift, Public Relations, Public Opinion, Enforcement, Specification, Traffic, File, Epistemology, Visualization, Real-time, Framework, Debate, Ideal, Design, Creative, Random, , Digital, Development, Darknet, Honeypot, Data haven, Falsifiability and Verification.

Some bad things I don't like include Groupthink, Sanctimony, Ignorance, Fundamentalism, Discrimination, Racism, Fascism, Bigotry, Homophobia, Bullying, Harassment, Military occupation, Colonialism, Terrorism, Conservativism, Communism, Totalitarianism, Oppression, Apathy, Cornucopian, Cartesian Dualism, Globalization, Hoax, Fallacy, Rhetoric, Indoctrination, Censorship, Proprietary software, Plaguarism, Cheating, Digital Rights Management, Trademark, Patent, Microsoft, ECHELON, State terrorism, Police state, House of Windsor, Monarchy, Illuminati, Council of Foreign Relations, Mossad, Zionism, Neoconservatism, AIPAC, Nuclear weapons, War on Terror, Bush Doctrine, Cult, Cabal, CIA, NSA, WTO, Oligarchy, Plutocracy and Dictatorship.

More about me
I am a male living in Brisbane, Australia. I have many interests in things like art, music and technology and loads of other subjects like energy, computers, software, internet and the future, as well as the sciences like astronomy and geography. I want better information retrieval systems than I have now so I can reap the bounty of treasured gifts, hear more ideas, understand reality, research things and find the answers to a multitude of questions.

My own web pages are at Unto the Cooking Pot. I started using the internet in 1993 and by 1998 I was uploading to my homepage. I was initially excited by Napster and peer to peer on the 31 October 2000. It was on this night after watching a broadcast from the american Sixty Minutes program titled You can't stop the music that I was jumping around, happy and filled with joy over file sharing. It was then that I realised something I had been dreaming about would come true. I had been thinking of a technology that would provide low cost, unlimited, quality music when I wanted. I realised then it was not just about music, that it was about movies and all others kinds of information.

I download many things from the generous cooking pot that we call the internet, particularly music and other stuff like multimedia, games, animations, documentaries, comics and books. I grab textual material like news articles, technical guides, essays, papers and other literature. I get programs, geographical and game maps, timelines, recipes, weather images, charts, artwork, video and photos.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Geography, Political Science) from the University of Queensland (St Lucia Campus). I wish everyone had good access to information technology and advocate the concept of free access to intellectual property without proprietary ownership. I am against unbridled capitalism and pro-open source, decentralized, co-operative anti-authoritarianism. I dislike monopolies, copyright and other forms of deprivation and tyranny. I want people to be better educated, with accurate knowledge about the world, so democracy can happen.

I really appreciate the web enormously and have enjoyed watching it blossum over the last decade. I'm interested in useful software, practical projects and realistic visions of the future. In particular, communication and computer technologies like internet telephony, hypermedia, broadband, and wireless networks.

My favourite all time pc games are Starcraft, 2, Age of Empires, Popolous 3, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, Z Steel Soldiers, GLtron and Tetrinet. I have literally played thousands of different computer games on many platforms since the early 1980's. I also like a game of chess and poker.

Software I recommend includes Treepad, Mozilla, eMule, Picasa, Terragen, Ultrafractal, Zinf, VLC and Orbitron. I find collaborative weblogs useful and the same goes for wikis.

I like using software, computer hardware and networks, although the later is often a misused exploit for communications eavesdropping and other vulnerabilities. I think people need to be more aware of mass surveillance and the kinds of backdoor scumware used by hackers, shadow governments and misguided intelligence agencies, that are taking away mine and other innocent people's rights to privacy.

What else do I think?
I am deeply concerned about the protection of the environment because I want to conserve the beauty of our planet's natural heritage. I admire nature and the environment, especially sunsets, mountains, forests, beaches and gardens. I have strong liberal views and opinions and I am only interested in left-wing politics. I find that anything right-wing is bogus. I definately harbour radical, anarchist ideology, but for now, some laws are good.

I firmly believe in the principles of equality between people and the quest to remove human suffering. I want to get rid of the society we have now and produce a freedom nirvana. I want more wisdom, reasoning, enlightenment and intelligence, while privacy and security should be maintained for the individual in the long-term.

I want to destroy the permission-based copyright model of content trading. I'm totally for piracy of any and all intellectual property. I eagerly await the end of all revenue derived from information products into improved services and the delivery of physical things. I want to bring about an innovation utopia where information shall be freely distributed on the internet. I am against the idea of rewarding people who create information.

I want to live in a world when art, knowledge and information are unrestrained by economic factors. When a technology has developed that allows anyone to share any sort of information with any number of others then it should be explored, not restricted. A system of barter and free sharing of information and knowledge is always better than one involving regulation. So I think intellectual property laws are unjust and want them abolished as soon as possible. I understand and appreciate property rights which exist to allocate physically, finite resources but not for information, which can replicated endlessly and at no cost.

I am not pleased with the Western_world's culture and values. I am particularly appalled at my governments actions that are justified in the name of national security and economic growth. I want to get rid of these destructive and exploitive societies, their useless systems of government and their associates that present, produce and manage the content in the mass media, while pretending to just present news of what happened, have to go with the rest. These people that make propaganda, deliberately make omissions to hide and distort the reporting of important facts and tell lies to make a living, have to be stopped.

I think it is especially important for the media to investigate concealed or critical evidence that contradicts the government's claims and explanation of events. I want more avenues to be provided for whistleblowers. I wish people would realise that what politicians say is totally inconsequential and what is important is their policies, voting record and their role in the creation of laws.

We need judges to have more tribunals and try these criminals. It disgusts me that this barbaric behaviour continues in the 21 st century. I want George W. Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard tried for war crimes and then shot. This is the best way to stop more imperial wars from occuring. I want them to serve as examples to other leaders that it is not just to attack and invade sovereign nations. Shame on these traitors, their aides, enablers and accomplices.

Fighting an unnecessary war of aggression has always been a supremely, horrendous crime. When individuals in government give these military orders they must be held accountable according to the standards set out at the Nuremberg trials that were conducted after World War II. It is the war mongers that should be slaughted. This is the only sensible, responsible thing to do - the political scientists, legal experts, military leaders, peace activists, family members of victims and the unions to overthrow any government committing these crimes. International law is not to be applied only when it suits the west's interests.

When will these war advocates relase that going to war brings havoc and violence not peace and freedom. I think one of the least honourable things to do is to put on a uniform, pick up weapon and go fight a war in another country. I think it is far more courageous to stand up and let your voice be heard, especially if you think somebody is doing the wrong thing. My heros are those people that stand up and warn others of impending dangers.

At the same time, I think it should be illegal to call for wars against other non-attacking states because wars are killing more and more civilians. Calling for wars means calling for the deaths of innocent people and it should be outlawed. Members of political parties that support aggresive war policy and those advocating military interventions should be forced to serve in the military.

I think it is very important to destroy this military intelligence complex and the petrodollar empire must be exposed and taken apart. This glorification and celebration of militarism must cease. I want to encourage more anti-americanism and align Austalia towards a more decent and sustainable future.

I don't believe in capital punishment, mandatory sentencing laws, torture or secret prisons. I think anyone discussing September 11 2001 attacks without reference to conspiracy theories and Bush Administration complicity is a fool. I want those responsible at the Pentagon tried for allowing the attacks to happen, and members of the Project for the New American Century rounded up as well. I want to know why Seven World Trade Center was pulled and I want the media to investigate the controlled demolition hypothesis. I want to hear from more Researchers questioning the official account of 9/11 and those following the Truth Movement. I want to see the setup and implementation of initiatives like the Joint Oil Data Initiative and an International Independent Truth Commission to find some real answers.

I am an inventor, artist and writer. I have a background in office administration. In the past I have also dabbled in DJing. I am a male living in Brisbane, Australia. I belive that if someone wants to euthanize themselves they should. I want less interference by governments stopping abortions and greater access to contraception for whoever wants it. I want more disincentives for having child births. I want the edlerley, who are mostly ouf of touch with things and whose stake in the future is limited, to be banned from voting in elections.

Wikipedia has become one of the best examples of a successful open source project. It is the premier website; the embodiment of the web. I'm here to take it to the next level. I'm regularly impressed by the quality of material and the kind effort put in by other Wikipedians to get things right for little in return. Wikipedia is a great, worthwhile site, verging on brilliant, especially when one considers it is being created by unpaid amateurs. I'm glad I have been part of what has been described as

I like researching and fixing up articles, some project work, adding a few photos, items to lists and fleshing out short articles.
I have made more than 4,500 edits to Wikicommons. I maintain the Queensland Portal. I tend not to gate keep over a limited set of articles and don't appreciate that editing style. Nor do I appreciate the injection of quotations as propaganda. Here is a list of articles I have created

I have never accepted any payment for any of my contributions here. At the end of 2017 I was temporarily banned for discussing paid editors within WikiProject Australia. I was banned again in 2018 so I quit Wikipedia. That doesn't mean I will not ever edit again; just that making contributions is now a very low priority. Thanks to an amazing community for keeping it going between 2007 and 2012 until the paid editors arrived en masse in 2015.
We need to blacklist or create a criminal code for people with more than 1 million dollars or so to their name, from holding positions of power, influence and responsibility. It shouldn't be illegal to have more money than that however I think it would be best if very wealthy people were forced to divest their assets before holding a position of social prestige. Might not this be the best way to get rid of the idle rich as well as poverty, over-consumption, cronyism, political corruption, bludging and a whole range of social maladies?

Wikimedia
I want to abolish very high wages for CEOs, media personalities, actors, musicians and other vocations which pay exorbitant prices for product or performance. I want more taxes on wasters and polluters, especially those individuals, organisations and countries that contribute to climate change, like truckdrivers, the USA, people who travel on planes and those who waste electricity, food and water. I want to collaborate strategically to take down this devestating oil civilization and its bizarre adoption of polluting and carnage causing, wasteful, noisy, expensive cars.

I believe that Wikimedia needs to address the following matters as a priority.
I like discussion to be specific, not vague and ambiguous. I avoid using jingoistic catchphrases and meaningless cliches. I think people should always select an appropriate forum and express their opinion whenever they have an opportunity. This is why I always pay attention to the message from a protester. I often like to know more about what people think, not what they feel, but I don't actually care what other people think.
*resist propaganda
*let me add categories and templates in Australian English.
*improve the formatting or interface on Talk pages so the structure of a discussion is more easily maintained.
*integrate an incentive reward system whereby editors can receive bitcoin micropayments on a the basis of merit.

Other
Information, knowledge and the truth can never be a bad thing, but people can take actions that are bad. If I can understand people's beliefs then I can understand their actions better. I like to hear people's opinion as feedback, not derogatory speech which is boring and transparent. Opinions about where others think I am incorrect can be interesting, because unaccounted for mistakes, especially ongoing unjudged errors, can turn into problems. I used to make the mistake in trusting that others will think for themselves.

Awards
Some things I don't understand are greed, egotism and religion. When I hear people talk about these things and when I notice other traits like incompetence, arrogance, superficiality, fakery or insincerity, I see behaviour and hear discussion which makes no sense. Instead I constanly hear nonsense and rhetorical dogma meshed into a weak argument based on a pointless suggestion or false premise.
I've collected some barnstars. Thank you.

Lists
I don't believe it is ever appropriate to talk about supernatural beings, miracles, heaven or life after death as if they are real, because all these thoughts are ridiculous beyond belief. Nobody has a soul, prayer is pointless and I don't believe anything is holy, sacred or blasphemous or that someone's faith should be respected. Instead these delusional fantasies deserve nothing but derision. I think it is especially disrespectful to reference heaven and dieties in time of loss and sorrow. Constantly paying respects to cruel, irrational fabrications can only be detrimental submission.
Here is a list of templates I am interested in.

Notes
I don't understand jealousy and I feel sorry for people that are always wanting more material things or those that never have time for something new or different. I think patriotism is uncivil and primitive. Despite what most others seem to believe, I know these things do more harm than good and are therefore should not be cherished. I think the characteristics mentioned above are unfortunate and an insult to my intellect, because nobody is able to provide a logical, justified reason explaining how and why such things are good.

I think there are too many people and too much business for our one small planet. I notice that people get too involved with furthering their insignificant careers instead of focusing on the important issues and that many people have difficulty identifying the role they play in making social problems worse. I think the average person is obsessed with their status and fanatical about money. I like to be frugal and never think about making money cause the more money one has, the more resources one consumes and in the long run, the more someone will suffer. I think being successful is about having an increasingly smaller ecological footprint, particularly living a life where one uses less energy day by day.

I want to bring about a totally revolutionary state that facilitates real democratic participation and yet I am constantly dismayed by others care-free attitude and lack of consideration for others. I imagine states will dissolve into a global collective as the world falls into a global energy crisis. Sourcing fuels and energy supplies will soon be the bane of modern life across the planet. Shortly after that all material goods will become prohibitively expensive for everyone. Within a decade, I see more socialism which will emerge everywhere, all at once in a environmental revolution. I believe it will pan out something like this.

I'm regularly impressed by the quality of material and the kind effort put in by other Wikipedians to get things right for little in return. Lake Moogerah, 2011

Wikimedia

[edit]

I believe that Wikimedia needs to address the following matters as a priority.

 • resist propaganda
 • let me add categories and templates in Australian English.
 • improve the formatting or interface on Talk pages so the structure of a discussion is more easily maintained.
 • integrate an incentive reward system whereby editors can receive bitcoin micropayments on a the basis of merit.
