The Samsung Galaxy S21 is a line of Android-based smartphones designed, developed, marketed, and manufactured by Samsung Electronics as part of its Galaxy S series.[4] They collectively serve as the successor to the Galaxy S20 series. The lineup was unveiled at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on January 14, 2021.[5] They are the first phones in the Galaxy S series to support the S Pen, albeit sold separately and in a limited fashion.[6]

The lineup is comprised of three devices, with the Galaxy S21 being the least expensive of the bunch with a smaller screen size. Unlike last years galaxy s20+ ,the Galaxy S21+ is very similar to the S20 spec-wise, with a larger display and battery. The Galaxy S21 Ultra has an even larger screen size, battery, and a host of other improvements over the others, including a quad-camera setup (compared to a triple camera setup) highlighted by its 108 MP main sensor, a higher resolution, 1440p display, laser-autofocus,[7]and support for the s pen, previously exclusive to the Galaxy tab and Galaxy note series, which has been reportedly merged into the galaxy s line

Design

The design of the Samsung S21 is very similar to last year's design of the S20. The S21 has just like the S20 a hole punch camera in at the top of the screen. The S21 houses 3 cameras and a depth sensor along with a flash. The difference between the S20's camera and the S21's is rather small. This year the camera bump has been integrated into the sides of the phone.
