Garrison Redd (born 1988 in Brownsville, NY) is a Tedx speaker, Team USA Paralympic Powerlifter, model, and advocate for the disabled. He is most notable for being a member of Team USA Paralympic Powerlifter after suffering a debilitating injury by gun violence.[1][2] Redd was paralyzed in 2005 after being struck by a stray bullet outside his home in Brownsville, NY.[3] The bullet burned the nerves in his spine leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.[4]

In February 2018 Redd was chosen as a TEDx speaker. [5]

Redd competed in a national qualifier held at Logan University to represent Team USA in Bogota, Colombia.[6]

Redd is also involved with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.[7]
