SAS: Red Notice is a 2021 British action thriller film directed by Magnus Martens, based on the novel of the same name by Andy McNab and starring Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, Andy Serkis, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hopper, Noel Clarke, Owain Yeoman, Ray Panthaki, Anne Reid and Tom Wilkinson.[2]
SAS: Red Notice was released in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2021 by Sky Cinema.[2]
Premise

Production
It was announced in November 2018 that filming had begun in Budapest on the film. Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, Tom Wilkinson and Owain Yeoman were announced as being cast at the time.[3]
Filming continued to February 2019, with London and Paris also serving as filming locations. Andy Serkis, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hopper, Noel Clarke, Ray Panthaki, Jing Lusi, Douglas Reith, Richard McCabe and Anne Reid were announced as being in the cast.[4]
Release
The film was released on 12 March 2021 by Sky Cinema.[2] In February 2021, Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film, and set it for a 16 March 2021 release.[5]
Reception
Critical response
According to the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 53% of critics have given the film a positive review based on 17 reviews, with an average rating of 5.30/10. However, 84% of the audience have given the film a positive review based on 250+ reviews, with an average of 4.2/5. [6]
