C.K Saraswathi is an Indian doctor turned politician and a Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly representing Modakkurichi. She belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party.[2] She’s the Pediatrician and Medical Superintendent of C.K. Hospital, Erode, since 1975. She’s also the Co-chairman of The Indian Public School at Erode, Salem and Trichy.

Being there for people, especially during tough times like COVID, floods and storms, is what keeps her going.

Career

Dr. C.K. Saraswathi, d/o Thiru Kangachala Gounder and Mrs. Nanjammal, is a well-known doctor in Erode. She has qualified as a medical doctor passing the MBBS examination of Stanley Medical College, Madras in the year 1967. She then pursued a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) at the Madras Medical College in 1972.

Once the degrees were all in place, she wanted to start serving the community with the knowledge she gained and the resources she had. Along with her husband, Mr Chinnusamy, she decided to build a hospital named “C K Hospital” in 1975, to provide affordable medical assistance to all. Eventually they upgraded their hospital into a Multi-Specialty health centre and they’ve been providing dedicated service to humanity for the past four decades. In 1994, they began the C.K. School of Nursing and now more than 500 trained nurses have passed out.

While one needs good health to live, they also need standard education to dream and achieve. In 2004, The Indian Public School (TIPS), a pioneer CBSE school in Erode, was established at Senapathipalayam to foster extraordinary education, experience and exposure. TIPS now has its branches at Salem and Trichy as well and is currently managed and administered by her son, Dr. Shivkumar Chinnusamy.
