This is an image of the bust of Socrates, and this text is a caption.

An image's caption is text that accompanies the image. The caption may include the title of the picture and/or an explanation of what is depicted in the image. Not every Wikipedia image needs a caption: some are simply decorative, while some others are self-explanatory. Captions should not repeat the article title name unnecessarily.

If you decide that an image does not need a caption, then please follow the advice at Wikipedia:Alternative text for images to specify appropriate "alt" text. Alt text should not be a mirror of the caption text. Captions can be added by using the frame or thumb parameter as part of an image tag. For example: [[File:imagename.jpg|thumb|Write the caption here]]

About speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Alex Van Gelder

in re: Draft:Alex Van Gelder (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hello! You have decided to "speedy delete" the new article Alex Van Gelder I have written about this artist. I am little suprised about this… Notice that I am note Alex Van Gelder; after discovering and like his original work and notice that there was no information about him, I thought it was suitable to collect information about him and publish an article on Wikipedia. I know that I have made at less two mistakes : - I have created a new account not in reference with my personal name but with the first article I have projected to write… whereas I will probably publish other articles about other artists not present on Wikipedia. - I have also probably associated to much external links, not enough internal links and references; I thought that I will be able to ajust this after the first publication. I will really appreciate if you will be able to guide me to finally suceed to publish this article… What is the good way? - Cancel all and re-start at the beginning: create a new account, rewrite a new draft, etc.? - Or, is there a more simple way to restore and adjust the work done and publish it again with corrections? Thank you very much for help — I'm also here to learn! — and I hope there is a simple way to solve the problem… --AvGnet (talk) 13:04, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Christian Speck and copyvio

in re: Draft:Christian Speck (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hi Athaenara, thanks for speedying the draft I declined. Since I'm new to reviewing, would you mind clarifying whether it met the criteria for G12 (since G11 was the given deletion reason)? I wasn't sure how much close paraphrasing was permitted but wanted to be cautious. Thanks! JoelleJay (talk) 01:42, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@JoelleJay: There was nothing wrong with the G12 tagging. I often add G11 to such deletions because they so often are that. – Athaenara 01:54, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you! JoelleJay (talk) 02:38, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, you're welcome. – Athaenara 02:44, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Deletion of Draft:Christian Speck

see also: User:YosDav/Christian Speck draft-revised (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hi Athaenara. Could you please restore Draft:Christian Speck so that I can make the necessary changes to it that address the G11 and G12 tags? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YosDav (talkcontribs) 22:45, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@YosDav: No. Who's paying you to get that guy a Wikipedia page? or are you one of his students/employees? – Athaenara 23:11, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Athaenara: Thank you for your reply. I am not being compensated. I know the person and sought his approval to create a Wikipedia page for him. I am neither his student nor employee, but we have worked together. Everything in the page is factual and verifiable, and he is notable in his profession and area of research. If the page is too promotional, I can tone it down so that it is more neutral, befitting of an encyclopedia entry. I can also easily address the G12 tagging. I don't have a backup, so, please, could you reconsider restoring the page, if not to the drafts section, then to my sandbox, where it was saved before one of the editors moved it to drafts when I submitted it. Alternatively, if it is possible, you can send it to my e-mail account. YosDav (talk) 00:15, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@YosDav: I won't, but you could save time by going directly to Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. – Athaenara 00:29, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, they say it's not for G11 or G12. You could try Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to provide copies of deleted articles. – Athaenara 00:34, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Athaenara: Thank you for the link. I contacted one of the administrators on the page, and she is unwilling to provide a copy of a draft tagged with G11 or G12. I had the impression from my conversation with her that the other administrators listed would also reject my undelete request for the same reason. I will rewrite the article. As I said previously, the G12 tagged by the reviewer is easy to address. The G11, however, is, in my opinion, debatable. It would be helpful if you could explain to me why you feel the draft warranted a G11 tagging. I used https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(academics) as a guideline and the academic infobox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_academic), which I completed in detail.YosDav (talk) 15:43, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Repeatedly created draft

in re: Draft:Mihimatha Thorathuru (Sri Lankan YouTube Channel) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), see also User talk:Mihimatha Thorathuru

Hi, I noticed that you deleted Draft:Mihimatha Thorathuru (Sri Lankan YouTube Channel). It has been recreated by the same user for the third time (with the exact same content, I think), so could you salt the page? Zoozaz1 talk 02:01, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Note that Isabelle Belato has tagged it for salting. Zoozaz1 talk 02:05, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Zoozaz1: It may need salting, but for now the single purpose account that repeatedly created it is blocked. – Athaenara 03:00, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of article on SNSKR

in re: Draft:SNSKR (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), User:Sanskar 135/sandbox (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

SNSKR is a producer from India and he had got a knowledge panel on Google and as he got his panel he should be on some other knowledge sites too. So his article should not be deleted he got some talent to show and the world should know about some teenaged artists. Sanskar 135 (talk) 02:37, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Elia Rose

in re: Elia Rose (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Hi Athaenara, I've just seen the message on my page about this deletion. WaddlesJP13 told me that a user called Eliarosemusic added false modifications and pictures without permission in the article. So it detected as spam and deleted. Do you think that it could be possible to restore the page that I created excluding any revisions by Eliarosemusic and any that were made after their edits? Best regards, Isacre (talk) 19:27, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Isacre: I don't see that Elia Rose's notability is sufficient per WP:MUSICBIO. She "made a lot of covers" and didn't win The Voice Belgique. There's nothing remarkable there. – Athaenara 20:11, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion Syntechno

in re: Draft:Syntechno (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hello Athaenara, You deleted the article Syntechno on the due to the 'G11'. This was the second version, which I completely rewrote in order to remove all signs of advertising, and added only the facts in an encyclopedic way. This article was written in exactly the same way as other companies from the list of laboratory diamond manufacturers (example , Apollo Diamond Gemesis Scio Diamond Technology Corporation )and it seems to me that the removal of the only large company from Russia looks at least strange. It is made according to the same encyclopedic templates as other articles (despite the fact that in other articles there are much more advertising texts). I am not exaggerating its importance, but this company is one of the largest in the country and the only public company in Russia supported by the government (as indicated in 9 authoritative sources). Could you explain exactly what things seemed to you to be advertising, and whether it is necessary to create a new version? Best regards, Igor erferger (talk) 08:23, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Igor erferger: It's not at all obvious why it might not be considered to qualify for {{db-g11}} deletion, but for now I undeleted it so more adims may see it. (Remember that, as the creator of the page, you are not to remove that deletion tag yourself.) – Athaenara 09:18, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gal Yosef

in re: Gal Yosef (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Draft:Gal Yosef (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hello Athaenara, I dont understand why did you delete the draft shortly after it was restored and again I cannot see it and do anything. If you delelte it since Im paid editor than I believe this is wrong since I disclosed it and although you wrote you felt I needed a reminder, I dont because I followed all the rules and edit the draft with solid sources. I would like to get a fair chance althoug Im paid because Yosef is not a minor artisit and I place many reliable sources on the draft. Can you please first restore it so I can have the text and explain why you believe its advertising when its not different from other artisit pages? I will note yet again that I can edit and change and always happy to hear opnions! I did all the checks and I think the draft isnt getting a fair chance and look. If you need me to escalte this since you cannot, please tell me what to do since I want to do it right and not step on anyone's toes. ברטוביניו (talk) 15:01, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, when am I not getting any reply? ברטוביניו (talk) 07:06, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You have been advertising your client and you've been told that this encyclopedia doesn't welcome it. This is not news to you. My concern is not you, what you want, or what your client wants, my concern is this encyclopedia and its standards of notability and sourcing. – Athaenara 08:43, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Athaenara, first of all, im not advertising and the draft is not advertising. If it would, it wont be in a netural point of view as well as Gal probably wouldnt be getting awards, sold of 1 million dollar and have so many articles about him including vouge. Adding to that, it is ok to be a paid editor as long as you follow the guidlines and declare - which I have done both. Please show me where you see advertising and why is Gal not worth of being included in Wiki? did you read the draft before you deleted it following my edits? ברטוביניו (talk) 14:39, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just a minor note

For something that will likely never happen again, but it's interesting enough that I thought I should mention it. When you salted Draft:Shahjahan Shamim you linked to Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Shamim1190 but called it without the leading :, which meant that User:AnomieBOT/EPERTable and every page that calls it ended up in that category. I fixed the issue but I thought you might want to know for future reference (always use [[:Category... if you are linking to a cat. Cheers, Primefac (talk) 14:13, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you deleted a draft that I requested to be userfied. Can you please restore it so I can edit it to meet Wiki's guidelines? The biggest issues for self-promotion seemed to be the direct links and cites to the professor's website. I plan to remove them. As for the COI flag, I am not being compensated by Professor Atuahene in any capacity (neither money or academic credit). I have never met Professor Atuahene in-person. Thank you. • @Athaenara: I incorporated the feedback that the sources needed to be secondary sources and I confirmed the structure and tone was similar to another published biographical article (Coral Bell). I am happy to revise if you provide me with biography model. Thank you!Aequitas217 (talk) 19:32, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

in re: KingLexaGod (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (deletion review)

My article was deleted. The article was about a real person, whose on several websites and social media platforms, and even a social media influencer. I wrote the article for those reasons because I figured she should have a page here. Everyone else does. I would want the page to be brought back. I wasn't able to contest because the page was gone before I could have a chance. Please bring the page back. If anything needs to be fixed or improve on, let me know instead of getting rid of it outright. All links and references are correct. Please talk to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Letsgetgoing (talkcontribs) 16:54, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Letsgetgoing: WhoAteMyButter's courteous 02:52, 30 August 2021 (UTC) message on your talk page clearly explained why the page was tagged for deletion. – Athaenara 17:28, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Athaenara: Can we bring it back? Its not spam or anything like that. It is legit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Letsgetgoing (talkcontribs) 17:41, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Letsgetgoing: 'Everyone else does' doesn't mean that THIS article needs one too. The issues with the page were brought to your attention on your talk page, where the notice for speedy deletion was put. It described the reasons I nominated the article for deletion: It read like an advertisement, and that the article does not give a reason why the subject is important. In fact, that same notice is still on your talk page and will continue to be there unless you decide to take it down yourself. WhoAteMyButter (📨talk📝contribs) 19:33, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Could I ask for feedback on Ma Ceres P. Doyo‎?

in re: Maria Ceres Doyo (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Draft:Ma Ceres P. Doyo‎ (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Sorry to bother you, but I don't feel I'm getting specific enough feedback on Draft talk:Ma Ceres P. Doyo‎ and on my talk page. Any chance you could step in and advise, so that I don't have to just receive condescension from the editor who turned the article into a draft? Thanks. - MoxiePH (talk) 17:18, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It was tagged for deletion when it was in article space. Somebody decided it deserved more time and attention and moved it to draft space. I'm not involved in it, nor will I be. – Athaenara 17:48, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright then. The editor keeps telling me I can ask for it to be reviewed, but never told me where I can request that. I tried to look for reviewers from the Philippines who might know about the journalist being discussed and want to improve. Is Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines the right place to find reviewers? - MoxiePH (talk) 18:04, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on Jakarta MRT

Hi Athaenara, thank you for reverting the edit from an anonymous user on my talk page. By the way, that anonymous user lately recorded on two IP addresses (139.192.129.201 and 111.95.147.78‎) and persistently doing vandalism on Jakarta MRT, saying that the East-West line (on its two sections on the page) will use standard gauge rail network while actually there are no sources in Indonesia nor the world says so. Even the Jakarta MRT company itself hasn't says anything about the track gauge they'll use. It's the reason why I keep reverting although I know he/she will revert it back when he/she realizes. The material also not citing any sources on the internet. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, thus the material he/she edited can be challenged. I already put a warning inside the article but I think it's not enough, so I'm wondering if I could get any help from you regarding this vandalism. Thank you. -Muhammad Pascal Fajrin (talk) 08:47, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring Deleted Page Maldives Transport & Contracting Company

in re: Maldives Transport & Contracting Company (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Draft:Maldives Transport & Contracting Company (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Hi Athaenara, could you please restore the page Maldives Transport & Contracting Company and advice me on the portion which needs to be corrected. I ensure that all instructions will be duely complied. I already edited many areas before you deleted this page. Thank you. Mohamed Mailan (talk) 06:11, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mohamed Mailan: I won't get involved in the technicalities of article improvement, other than one observation: the images are far too large. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images may have more information than you need, but at least understand and use the thumbnail format. – Athaenara 06:53, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Fundamental Global (company)

in re: Fundamental Global (company) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Where in the page Fundamental Global (company) have I broken the neutral tone? I was taken by surprise when the page was nominated for speedy deletion! I need the deleted content to recreate the page and fix what the administrator thought should be fixed. I was told to contact you. SX3001 (talk) 13:58, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SX3001: The page you wrote looked like what one would find upon clicking the "About us" link on the company's own website, not an encyclopedia article. – Athaenara 20:18, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Athaenara: While writing the page I tried to emulate a similar published article about a company operating in the same industry (Point72 Asset Management). I am more comfortable writing about people than organizations at the moment, because it is only my second attempt writing about a company. Should I move the empty page now back to draftspace, work on it, while trying to get feedback from reviewers and administrators? Any other guidance will be appreciated? SX3001 (talk) 20:47, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not an expert at shepherding people through the new article process, my own view is that if you work on it at all it should be in your user sandbox space. – Athaenara 20:50, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SX3001: By the way, didn't you study any of the detailed welcome messages on your own talk page? They seem to be liberally studded with helpful links. For example: the Teahouse and the articles for creation help desk. – Athaenara 20:56, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Athaenara: I did and I posted in the Teahouse seeking help a couple of times. In any case, I appreciate your guidance. I will rewrite the article. SX3001 (talk) 21:21, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I had specifically shown that I was being paid to make the draft for John Franek. I was abiding by all regulations of article creation and was TRYING to put as many objective sources as possible in. I would appreciate that you correspond with me before deleting the article entirely. Please revert the draft deletion and engage in dialogue immediately. I would be more than willing to provide you with the links and articles that valorize his position within the field of composition. Please reach out to me. It is not promotional at all, as John Franek is a world renown composer. Also, the other account [while being made by me a LONG time ago] did make an article for Franek but it was shoddy and poorly done. Please talk with me and I will show you why John Franek is justified for an article and why more work is necessary to ensure that the article is accepted.

You seem to have a habit of deleting drafts that fall under G11. My article does NOT fall under G11 and I was attempting to show that if you would give me the time of day to actually FINISH MY EDITS.

It is not badgering and I would like a discussion made to reinstate my draft.

Wrong Draft Reversion

Hello. You seem to have restored the wrong one. The one that was originally there is the correct one, as it had biographical information from copious sources. Please restore the one that was there prior to your deletion. That version took DAYS, and I mean days to find sources talking about his childhood. Please just revert it back to what it was before you got involved and I will add more important sources. What you have done is essentially delete work I cannot undo because I no longer have the sources, except for the draft that was there before you got involved.

Please just go back to the draft that was there before your involvement.I am quite literally begging you, as I don't have time or the mental fortitude to find all the sources and write the biographical section again. I know my other draft is there somewhere and it existed before you deleted it. I was going to work on it tonight, but now it's all gone because of your deletion. This is why people leave Wikipedia. I put hard work into writing that biographical section AND IT'S GONE.

Thank you very much for getting involved, all the work I put into creating a full biography is gone if you don't restore the other version.

Please listen to me

I know the other version exists there somewhere. PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU, restore the other version. It is what you want, a more objective and fuller article. I CANNOT REWRITE IT, SO I WILL HAVE TO EVENTUALLY GIVE UP. This is very disheartening and I want to cry. I am so desperate to have the other version back. Please, help me.

Why do you not care?

I am unsure why you don't care that I put weeks of work into a draft that you deleted in seconds? Don't you have any compassion for the work that I did that you just so quickly deleted? At least send me a screenshot so I can write down the work that I did. Please, ANYTHING. I just need to see the words so I can use them again.

PLEASE

I know the version is there, all you have to do is restore it or send me the words or SOMETHING. PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU. I AM FUCKING HOPELESS, PLEASE GIVE ME BACK MY OLD DRAFT. I WILL DO ANYTHING. PLEASE.

JohnDVandevert (talk) 02:42, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You're mean. I'm glad I got my work back in some capacity, but you're mean. I hope you find joy in some small way, but know that a person out in the world has suffered immense, mental strain because of you. I broke out in tears and I haven't cried in years. I am quite literally shaking and I will have to decompress. You're just plain mean.

JohnDVandevert (talk) 02:42, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry you had to deal with this, Athaenara. This is 10 times the volume of the message I received. You didn't sign up for this. John has been given an enforced break from editing for a week. Liz Read! Talk! 04:24, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Liz: Yea, thanks for the support, it was a real relief to see somebody's very well-timed one-week block lowered on him too. – Athaenara 05:21, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The irony is that you accommodated his request but when you are impatient and demanding, instead of approaching people with a simple request, you end up getting blocked and not being able to work on the article you wanted so desperately. There has never been a time that I regretted being grateful for someone's help. It goes a long way. Liz Read! Talk! 05:52, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Has anyone explained that we don't write promotional hagiographies here, especially for relatively unknown (unnotable?) people? Without much better sourcing, he risks an AfD nomination for lack of notability when the draft gets moved to article space. -- Valjean (talk) 00:54, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Valjean: That's grade-A and very economical use of language there, "promotional hagiography" was exactly what vandevert / gongfong / whatever has been straining to produce. – Athaenara 02:22, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There should be a speedy delete tag for that... -- Valjean (talk) 02:50, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Account Deletion

Hello! I've seen that you are in charge of deleting WP accounts. I would like to file a request for speedy deletion of my account as I no longer find the purpose of its existence. Please have my decision considered. Thanks, and goodbye. Cebu 964 (talk) 16:11, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can't do that. Copyright and attribution problems would ensue, so all actions must remain in the contribution history. The exception is when an article has been deleted, or when grossly insulting and BLP violations are scrubbed. -- Valjean (talk) 17:47, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I hope you're fine. Anyway, I'm not ! I know you're an admin here and you have obviously more experience than me, but sometimes even experienced people may commit a mistake.

I just need explanation to the deletion of the 3 pages. As the given cause doesn't make sense for me.

You just have know that I was very moivated today to create new pages, but ....

Thanks in advance--Art&football (talk) 11:49, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Athaenara (talk · contribs) Hello

I received a notification about a message you have left in my talk page but didn't find anything. Looking forward to discuss with you Sorry if you find my tone agressive. I was angry in the morning!--Art&football (talk) 21:32, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation 2

Hello

I hopre everything is good !

While not aiming to bother you, I'm still looking forward to read your explanation of the pages deletion. The text must be rewritten?

If the causes are convincing and prooved, that'll be cool. If not, the pages must be restored as Wikipedia rules and policies are stating.

Kind regards--Art&football (talk) 12:36, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Art&football: See Wikipedia:Deletion review. – Athaenara 12:45, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm willing to monitor Ismael Belkhayat if you don't object to it being restored to draft space for improvement. I think it's salvageable if unnecessary detail and redundant sourcing were removed. The handful of sources I've looked at seem pretty good. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:02, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted user

Dear Athaenara, Pirhayati account, which you deleted, recreated his account. This user deserves to be removed for violating Wikipedia rules. The 3 pages he has recently created (Tofan Pirani, Hamid Reza Hejazi and Keyvan Dehnad), based on WP:PAID. Also in Persian Wikipedia, Tofan Pirani deleted 4 times by WP:N and Keyvan Dehnad just nominated for deletion by a admin. Please block this user to protect sports Wikipedia. Sincerely. MMA Kid (talk) 03:32, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MMA Kid: I've never deleted any user account. I deleted an earlier version of the user page, which is a different matter. As to the sports pages or nominations for deletion, I haven't the knowledge or expertise to involve myself in such matters. – Athaenara 04:04, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your kindly response. Best regards. MMA Kid (talk) 04:12, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Athaenara, I already added deletion tag, but he removed it multiple times. This is against the rules of WP:DP. Regards. MMA Kid (talk) 04:26, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having doubts this deletion of the user page was really appropriate. I obviously can't see what the page was like before the deletion but an old version I could find elsewhere definitely does not constitute "blatant misuse of Wikipedia as a web host", and I wonder if you deleted it thinking the request was U1 or G7 instead of U5. The page now has another request and you may want to review it too. Thanks. Nardog (talk) 04:41, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Nardog: Undeleted. I think it was the inclusion of his own website URL that convinced me at the time, but I'll stay out of it. – Athaenara 06:14, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MMA Kid has been blocked as a sockpuppet which leads me to guess that there is a probably a dispute history between editors and this wasn't a good faith request. Liz Read! Talk! 00:50, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Al Hamra real estate pages

in re: Al Hamra Real Estate Development (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Al Hamra Group (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Al Hamra Real Estate (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Deletion of Al Hamra Real Estate Development without any notice

You have recently deleted the page on Al Hamra Real Estate Development under speedy deletion, though the page was already reviewed by a number of moderators and it was asked to make content adjustments related to any promotional text. This was also done over a number of revisions and the remaining content was only informational. Please elaborate how the page qualified for speedy deletion and no notification has been made on my talk page or anywhere. The contribution made to Wikipedia was notable and it was amended to meet the guidelines and speedy deletion doesn't make sense when changes were already made. This needs to be explained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sana Amjad Kiyani (talkcontribs) 07:25, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Sana Amjad Kiyani: It was a detailed advertisement, like what a company might choose to write about itself on its own website, not an encyclopedia article. – Athaenara 07:37, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
{{Reply to|Athaenara} No, it wasn't. Had it been a detailed advertisement, it wouldn't have been up on the Wikipedia for a few weeks. Other editors reviewed the page, let it go live and only a template to remove a few parts that deemed promotional was added to the article and those parts were removed as well. After a few weeks of it being live, you deleted it suddenly without any information and now that I have mentioned, you have created a talk page. This isn't appropriate. An article with well-researched content and details is a worthy contribution to Wikipedia so please I would like you to put the article back in its place and let the other editors & admins review it - you'll see that it doesn't qualify for speedy deletion.

Referring to the policy page of Wikipedia page, which clearly states that there has to be consensus on the deletion of the page. If the page has survived speedy deletion and content changes were made, then this deletion doesn't make sense.Sana Amjad Kiyani (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 07:18, 26 September 2021‎ (UTC)[reply]

@Sana Amjad Kiyani: (1) I looked again at the now-deleted article you wrote and my policy-based assessment above has not changed. You can read it again. (2) The person who marked your page as reviewed may not have intended what you inferred from it, see for example User talk:Whiteguru#Concern about a review. (3) And what does "now that I have mentioned, you have created a talk page" mean? – Athaenara 09:36, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

in re: User:MohammadElMedawar (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), Draft:Mohammad El Medawar (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Dear Athaenara, I understand very well your deletion of my article.

The text that I wrote is exactly the same as the text written in this Wikipedia article below https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Langston

Mr. Michael works as a professor at a university, and I work also as a lecturer in a reputable university. Mr. Michael work in research field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and I work also in the research field of the same topics. Mr. Michael has multiple publications and he mentioned only 1 reference, and also I have multiple publications and I mentioned 1 reference.

May I know why my article is deleted while the article of Mr. Michael is available online.

I'm willing to listen to you what wrong I am doing and to correct my mistakes. My ultimate goal is to have my profile published on Wikipedia.

I truly believe that my article is notable (unique), I am not advertising myself, and I have an important award, and a very notable invention in the field of education. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MohammadElMedawar (talkcontribs) 10:20, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MohammadElMedawar: You are advertising yourself. As to the Langston article (which you are free to nominate for deletion*), that line of reasoning is known around here as WP:OTHERSTUFF (you can click on that to read it). – Athaenara 10:45, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Someone did*: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Langston. – Athaenara 10:58, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Athaenara: I didn't understand how you are considering that I am advertising for myself while I copied exactly the same paragraph as Mr. Michael and I only replaced his info with mine, and his article is published. Anyway, I definitely don't want to delete his article. Again, my ultimate goal is to have mine published successfully. What do you suggest? can you help me in writing the article? or do you know anyone who can do it for me?MohammadElMedawar (talk) 11:08, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of User:SvendKarlsen/Svend Alexander Karlsen

I understand the deletion of the pages I have created, but may I request the to get access to the material from User:SvendKarlsen/Svend Alexander Karlsen to put in my sandbox, and if not, just get access to the material as it contains all the stats from my football career? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SvendKarlsen (talkcontribs) 23:56, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I meant like the text from the article, I can't seem to find it in the links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SvendKarlsen (talkcontribs) 00:29, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thanks for processing this CSD. Quick question on this log: why was the middle undelete needed? I don't often work in copyvio areas but want to be sure I'm not missing steps when I do. Thanks! Star Mississippi 13:39, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Star Mississippi: Nothing to do with copyvio. I wanted to add Commons:User:Lutzt (who uploaded File:Levy Todd09.gif and locally edited the bio) to the delete summary. – Athaenara 17:30, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Athaenara. I checked the Google cache of Jingkids International, That's Beijing, and The Beijinger, and concluded that they do not meet WP:G11. Please restore these articles. Jingkids International and That's Beijing do not have any promotional content. The Beijinger has some promotional content but it does not meet WP:G11 since the clause "exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to serve as encyclopedia articles" does not apply as the limited amount of promotional content can be removed. I did not find a Google cache for True Run Media but based on your deletion log summary, it likely meets the criteria. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 08:21, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I previously discussed your June 2020 G11 speedy deletion of Skyhorse Publishing with you here. You declined to undelete the article and I took it to Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2020 June 25#Skyhorse Publishing where the community overturned the speedy deletion. The articles I listed here (Jingkids International, That's Beijing, and The Beijinger) do not meet the G11 speedy deletion criteria. Please do not speedy delete articles that do not meet the criteria. Cunard (talk) 08:52, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Cunard: I logged off for a few hours and came back thinking this was the first thing I was going to do, and there was your message suggesting exactly that. Poetic irony or something.  Done. – Athaenara 11:12, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for restoring the articles. Cunard (talk) 09:29, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kayla Perkins

in re: User:Kayla Perkins (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), see also User Kayla Perkins (talk) on Wikimedia Commons

Athaenara,

I'm the webmaster for KaylaPerkins.com and you deleted her WIKI page that her mother Michelle and Kayla herself asked me to create. I have the login info from her mother in Text. I'm 61 and have been building sites for over 35 yrs. I understand Copyright as I'm a author and screenwriter. The TEXT was "LIFTED" from her site because IT IS hers information.

I could NOT find Contest this speedy deletion BUTTON on the page because it DOES NOT EXIST! Kayla_Perkins is the page. NOTHING has ANY violations of COPYRIGHT, in fact, I GAVE CREDIT to Chris Whickers the photographer of the picture that I uploaded.

Now, would you kindly PLEASE restore the page? There's a HOLDING page now on her website as I'm in the process of building a new one which will be uploaded soon. Her mother "ASKED" me to do this for her and all the text is FROM her mother which I put on her website.

There's really no way to connect with you and I simply edited your SOURCE page to pass this message onto you.

So, please, restore the page?

Thank you Peter Borreggine WebParity dot net <- A US NAVY DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS User:Kayla Perkins 14:37, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Kayla Perkins: No. Yours is a single-purpose account with a conflict of interest, intent solely upon advertising your client. You are now blocked from editing Wikipedia. – Athaenara 21:50, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
