The Edinburgh Festival is a collection of various festivals in August of each year in Edinburgh, Scotland.
- Edinburgh International Festival - The original and "official" festival consisting of classical and contemporary Theatre, Opera, Music and Dance.
- Edinburgh International Book Festival
- Edinburgh International Film Festival
- Edinburgh Festival of Television
- Edinburgh Military Tattoo
- Edinburgh Fringe - Started life as a small scale "fringe" event to the EIF, but is now the largest of all the festivals and indeed the largest arts festival in the world. Contains Music, Musicals, Theatre, Comedy, Dance and Children's shows.
Other Edinburgh festivals include:
- The Edinburgh Science Festival, which takes place in April.
- The exceptionally large Hogmanay celebrations.
