Merge Discussion

[edit]

This article is too short, unreferenced and it is the same as Tracking trial. --kongr43gpenTalk 14:48, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support – merge any verified info, then redirect to Tracking trial. This is analogous to creating a page called Agility dog — it's a sport that any dog can be trained in as opposed to a rarer innate behavior like herding. – anna 15:48, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Neutral I would somewhat disagree with the above reasoning. There should be a page about tracking apart from tracking trial. Not all tracking dogs are for competition, eg. search and rescue dogs [[1]] and of course hunting. However, in my opinion, the article as it stands should be removed as per nomination since it is clearly lacking and relisted as a page in need of creation. That's a good point, although in this context, tracking isn't used to refer to S&R. From the site you linked to: "The trailing dog is often referred to as a 'tracking' dog, although 'tracking' and 'trailing' are not the same to the purist." A disambiguation page may be the best option. – anna 10:27, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, disambiguation seems like a good option. Keetanii (talk) 11:30, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement?

[edit]

Same question here? This article is also in the list for review/deletion with no obvious templates? What would be best to start with to improve it? LoraxJr 17:30, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
