Hana Horka (Template:Lang-cz; 15 February 1964 – 16 January 2022) was a Czech singer who was a member of the Czech folk group Asonance.[3]

Life and career

Horka was born in Příbram on 15 February 1964.[3] She studied at the Brno Conservatory and then joined the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts, both of which are in Brno, Czech Republic.[1][4] In 1985, she joined the folk group Asonance, becoming one of their main voices. She recorded her last album with the group, The Return of the King, in 2019.[2] She died of COVID-19 in Prague on 16 January 2022, at the age of 57. She had deliberately caught the virus, and had not been vaccinated.[5]
