Combat Flight Simulator WWII Europe Series is the first version of combat flight simulators from Microsoft Game Studios, released in 1998. Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator WWI Europe Series spawned two other combat flight simulators that being Combat Flight Simulator 2 WWII Pacific Theater and Combat Flight Simulator 3 Battle for Europe.Combat Flight Simulator could incorporate scenery from either Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 or 3rd party scenery and also numerous 3rd party developed add ons were created. However,it's own ground scenery was very limited and used .BMP files for the entire ground.
