The ninth season of Ang Probinsyano, a Philippine drama action television series, aired on August 23, 2021 on Kapamilya Channel, Cine Mo! on (cable and satellite TV providers) and through a block-time agreement with A2Z on (analog free TV in Metro Manila only and digital TV nationwide) and TV5 (on free TV nationwide). It is also available on-demand via iWantTFC. The series stars Coco Martin as P/Cpt. Ricardo Dalisay, together with an ensemble cast, consisting of Sharon Cuneta, Charo Santos-Concio, Lorna Tolentino, Tommy Abuel, Roi Vinzon, Tirso Cruz III, Rosanna Roces, and John Arcilla. following the celebration of 6th anniversary on air.[1][2]

The ninth season of Ang Probinsyano focuses on Cardo and the Task Force Agila hiding in the North, President Oscar Hidalgo going on the run with the help of his two friends to warn Cardo, Armando's plan to kill the kingpin responsible for the massacre of his fellow farmers, the Black Ops deal with the high-value targets under the supervision of Arturo Padua, Lito's illegal drug transactions, Renato's hunger for power, and Lily's plan to bring down Renato for the next election.

Plot

After the end of their battle against drug lord Enrique Vera and avenge her sister Audrey, Lia Mante’s family prepares to leave the country for Brazil when Cardo and Task Force Agila found their hiding place in the North in Ilocos while the enemies – such as First Lady Lily Hidalgo, Secretary Arturo Padua, Defense Secretary Renato Hipolito, Black Ops led by Albert de Vela, and druglord Lito Valmoria – still hunting for them. Having recovered from the induced coma, Oscar escapes from the palace to warn Cardo to stop their evil intentions while both Lily and Renato separately deploy his men to find Oscar. Oscar is replaced by an ignorant decoy Mariano, who is busy focusing on craving both Cassandra and Ellen. Albert and the Black Ops, under the supervision of Arturo, focus on dealing with the high-value targets until Padua runs out of patience when Albert fails to catch Cardo. Albert later allies with Lito to work together for hunting drug competitors. Renato plans to allow the international drug syndicate to operate in the country if he becomes the president, while Lily also plans bring Renato down for the next election.

Armando, his wife Lolita and daughter Mara plan to kill the powerful business tycoon Don Ignacio, who runs an illegal business in the North such as mining and drug trading. He also perpetrated the killing of his farmers to claim Armando's land. Cardo and Agila are eventually found by the local police, leading to the ensuing shootout. Armando and his group cross paths with Cardo during the chaos and they form an alliance after they seemingly killed Don Ignacio; however, Armando has a secret motive to use Cardo as an opportunity for his wealth and power. Don Ignacio survives the bullet by Mara but in critical condition, leading the arrival of the estranged daughter Aurora in the country. Don Ignacio's estranged brother Eduardo is only interested in taking the family's wealth after hearing his brother's condition.

It is revealed that Aurora is the biological mother of Mara, whom she had given birth to Lolita. Lolita and Armando had kept it secret from her entire life, and Mara is unaware that she is being used to kill Don Ignacio. Ellen and Cassandra later grow closer with each other after they got abused by Mariano. Cardo and his comrades stage the attack in the art exhibit in the North and abduct Oscar to be tortured for his actions against Agila.

After the manages to escape from Lito and Albert's forces, Task Force Agila gets more intense with Armando's fold with Mara's disappear, Aurora gets emotional as she ask forgiveness for Lolita and blame him to what happened in the past, both Ramil and Patrick are gets shot by Albert and Lito as Cardo comes back to save him from Lito's hands. Ellen’s life was ended when Lolita shoots her death. Task Force Agila tries to hold back to their anger on Mariano, forcing to follow Cardo’s command to put a video on social media against Lily, Renato, and Arturo. Wanting that the fisherman gets back at his vengeance on his enemies, Don Ignacio seek help from Renato and Arturo, vows to eliminate Cardo, Task Force Agila and Armando's forces.

Later, Lucas feels antsy of Mara's disappearance with the help of Cardo and Task Force Agila as tries to sneak in Don Ignacio's mansion. As Armando and Lolita are already letting Cardo and the rest of Task Force Agila gets discuss about Armando, unaware that his motive against the infamous cop. Mara is revealed to Armando and Lolita are capture him and once in for all to get rid of Don Ignacio, including his real parents Oscar and Aurora. Lucas gets disappointed when he confronts him and Armando about Mara.

Both Samuel and Lucas get shocked about Mara's real identity Armando and Lolita dispose Mara to get revenge on his grandfather and parents on Oscar and Aurora, unaware of his motive against the police cop, Cardo and Task Force Agila heads to the airport to tell everyone including Mariano, Lily reveals himself to Cardo to what she did to his grandfather led to his wrongful arrest and Arturo gets shocked about his daughter's real killer.

Armando and Lolita discuss about the First Lady's connections with Renato and gets disappointed with former fugitive.

Lito, meanwhile shoots Cardo, both Renato and Arturo's force gets into a intense with Black Ops including Lito, unaware of Task Force Agila they are already in position. Delfin gets emotional about his grandson did not make it to escape from the clutches of death. Lily detonates Mariano to death, and the Black Ops take Cardo's body. Albert, on the other hand, lashes out with his anger to Cardo of what he and Agila ruined his reputation.

Back at San Andres, Don Ignacio and Eduardo invades the whole place, looking for Aurora. Oscar tried to battle against Ignacio but was stopped by him and Eduardo before blaming him for what he did to San Andres. As Eduardo try to shoot Oscar, Aurora intervenes to save him from the clutches of her father, accusing of him ruining her life with Oscar and have the opportunity to escape with Ambo and Elizabeth through the forest. Meanwhile Cardo tried to battle for his life at risk as Task Force Agila fights the Black Ops and Lito’ forces, unaware thatArmando, Lolita, and Samuel planning to sell them out to the authorities.

Both Victor and Ramil get into a argument because of Cardo's critical condition unaware of Albert's plan against him.

Armando and Lolita are prepare for another plan against Task Force Agila as Lucas grows suspicious of farmer couple in to get the money and more men, unaware of their plan. Meanwhile Don Ignacio learns that the infamous ex-wanted cop is in critical condition as Arturo and Renato are already to face off with Lily against after her betrayal.

Lito, meanwhile scares Camilo's family get to Lily's orders and learns of the infamous cop is in critical condition for plan against the ex-wanted cop.

Both Lito and Albert are prepare to finally makes Cardo life in living in hell. Unaware of their heard, the infamous police captain survives the brink of death once again. Task Force Agila later learns that Cardo is alive and is on a stable condition.

Armando, Lolita and Samuel plans to get rid of the members of Task Force Agila, they are already prepare another plan for Cardo's rescue to aid him. Some members of Task Force Agila gets wounded as exchange fires at Armando's group trying to escape with the help of Lucas. In a nick of time, Omar betrayed Delfin by shooting his left shoulder before Armando silenced him until he captured the wounded general. Meanwhile, Lito and Albert meet again to see Cardo's condition as he heard from his enemies including Lily.

Back at the hospital, Albert and Lito meetup to see Cardo. Lito punches Cardo's body in anger, but Albert reprimands him, saying that it is futile. Both Albert and Lito eventually fight as to who will end Cardo's life once and for all. Albert becomes unconscious after being shot. Lito quickly brandishes his pistol, goes into Cardo's bed, and shoots the unconcious body. It turns out that the body in the bed is not Cardo, but an entirely different person. Somehow, Cardo gets an opportunity to escape Lito by disguising a Black Ops member and wear it while Lito’s forces and Black Ops were tackled. Lito realizes that Cardo escaped through the hospital. He then follows Cardo's blood trail, ending on an out-of-order restroom.

Lito and Cardo get into intense face off one last time. Lito Albert regained consciousness as he finished off Lito’s men, especially Winston and Turo. Lito managed to hold off with Cardo to chasing him at the bridge once in for all coast. As Diana tells Oscar that Delfin falls into at the hands of Armando and Cardo is in critical condition, Unaware of his manage to escape. Eventually Lito was killed by Cardo after they battle each other to the death whilst being extremely wounded. In a ray of hope saving his life, a certain woman named Ramona (Charo Santos), together with her friends, helps the unconscious Cardo and brings him to safety.

Soon as Ramona and his friends managed to escape from the authorities as her Allie’s fights back against Black Ops to protect Cardo. meanwhile Delfin is shocked to see Lily again and she learns that Lito is already killed by Cardo after receiving calls with Albert.

Back at the new hideout, Lucas reveals to Oscar and Aurora about Isabel's real identity led to name Mara is dead. Both of them burst into tears when his daughter is dead. Unaware of his consciousness, While Cardo wakes up with the help of Ramona (Charo Santos-Concio) As he thanks her saving life once again, Lily vows to exact revenge on Cardo to what happened to Lito. As Oscar vows to restore and peacefully back in the palace of corruption like - Lily, Renato and Arturo as well as Albert and his whole team.
