Betsy Jane Becker is an American researcher on meta-analysis and educational psychometrics. She is the Mode L. Stone Distinguished Professor of Educational Statistics in the Department of Statistics at Florida State University, and previously served as the Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at Florida State.[1] Becker is a co-author of a heavily cited consensus report on standards for meta-analysis in epidemiology.[2]
In 1978, Becker completed both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in psychology at Johns Hopkins University.[1] She earned a Ph.D. in education from the University of Chicago in 1985; her dissertation, supervised by Larry V.
