Drosato or Drossato (Greek: Δροσάτο), rarely: Dhrosato, older forms: Drosato, Drossato and Dhrosaton is a Greek settlement located north of Kilkis, west of the GR-65 (Kilkis - Sidirokastro) and about 8 km southeast of the border with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and 5 km southeast of Lake Doirani. Geography

Drosato is situated in a valley area that are surrounded with hills. The geography consists of farmlands covering the central and the western parts, and the eastern part are hilly with some farmlands, the remainder of the area are forested.

History

The population has been growing since the 1980s, in 2001, the Drosato Health Center shut its doors for good due to its declining population of the northern half of the prefecture since the 1950s, the health center had low budget not enough for the population that even some people opposed. The nearest hospital is now in Kilkis.
