This is one of Ontario's shortest Provincial highways, at just 1.5 km in length. The highway has been through a couple re-numberings throughout its history.
Highway 107 traces its history back to its equal-in-length predecessor, Highway 18B. It was re-designated as Highway 107 in 1953. Its purpose for existance was to connect Highway 18 to Highway 3. It was decommissioned in 1970. The road was re-designated as Essex County Road 45 from 1970 to 1997. Union Street was briefly re-uploaded as a Kings Highway, as a re-routing of Highway 18. This was not permanent, as Highway 18 was decommissioned on January 1, 1998, reverting back to County Road 45.
Designations and History
The road originated as Highway 18B in 1937. In 1953, it was re-designated as Highway 107. It was also just 1.5 km in length.

- Highway 18 (1997-1998)

Today
Today, the road is a narrow semi-rural township road. Though fully-paved and with houses along much of its path, it is relatively lightly travelled. Between Manning Road and County Road 46, it is still signed as "HWY 114", though it was decommissioned in 1970.
