== Genre ==

Correct genre for Susan Boyle would be easy listening. She's not a classical crossover singer.

:Easy listening is a radio format containing a variety of musical genres.
:Genres should come from reliably published sources, not from Wikipedia editors. The genre should be named explicitly by the media. See [[WP:EXPLICITGENRE]]. Thank you. "Homely"

Miss Boyle is described as "homely" in the article, it should be noted that this word has a completely different meaning in the UK from that in the US. In the UK it means simply someone who prefers a simple home life and has no relation to physical characteristics.213.205.242.127 (talk) 09:27, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Add to the "In popular culture" section: In the 2 May 2019 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, "Return of the King", Charles Boyle mentions her as the cousin who didn't know she could sing until her late 40s. 68.193.81.243 (talk) 15:43, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:02, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 21 November 2021

In the popular culture section, please add the Brooklyn 99 reference made by Charles Boyle in Season 6, Episode 15. Charles says, "It's such a classic Boyle trait not to recognize talent. My cousin Susan didn't know she could sing until her late 40s."

 Not done. Trivial WP:FANCRUFT, could be mentioned only if it's actually part of the storyline. Also, Metro is considered generally unreliable.  Ganbaruby! (talk) 10:09, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. I don't think mentioning second cousins is terribly necessary or due. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:51, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
