/b/ is the Chans' image posting board for random pictures under the domain name of random. This hosts many different pictures many of which are controversial in some way or another, most of the pictures are meant to be jokes, or are posted for humor. Some of the pictures are posted as shocking such as the [[goatse]] pictures or various dead bodies. Many of the pictures also have nothing to do with anything much, and some have nothing to do with the text, which usually makes the text end with the words "Pic. unrelated" or "Pic. not related". |

Another popular theme is Caturday which is held on Saturday and people are encouraged to post pictures of their cat’s in funny or amusing poses, or wearing clothes or something that will make the viewer amused or intrigued. |

This is a picture or a meme that has been popular for some time, popping up all over the /b/ board. It can also be revisited, if it is old, at which time the “/b/tards”(Explained farther down) will post a comment like “Old picture is old!”. |

Are people on the Internet who are trying to make people feel bad or that they are stupid. They commonly populate /b/ posting comments like “Life sucks be an hero” in attempts to fulfill there ambition to make peoples lives feel miserable. They are one of the sources of fuel to the fire, although they make some posters feel bad, many of the trolls post pictures that are related and make new pictures to add to /b/’s library of memes and fads. They are also sometimes incorrectly known as “Lurkers” which would mean lookers(Explained farther down in lurkmoar). |

This is someone who is under the age of 18 that wears a lot of black, commonly dyeing their hair black and painting their nails black. There is no specific gender to an emo kid but is commonly male with what is known as an emo flip. An emo flip is a hairstyle that has the hair parted covering an/both eyes making the person look like they have no emotion. Many “/b/tards” encourage emo kids to become an hero. |

This is a poster on the /b/ board, it is more commonly called /b/tards because they exclusively visit /b/ and none of the other boards. They are not retarded as the name suggests but are very random and post comments and pictures that don’t necessarily make sense. |

This is a user who has not included their name in their post, making them anonymous. This is commonly what happens in almost every post, but has spawned the common saying “anonymous does not forgive”. The meaning is used in many ways, mostly it goes along with a picture that has the text “anonymous does not forgive” written on it, and it has to do with revenge. Sometimes though it is unrelated. |
