Biography

Born in BANGUI, Central African Republic, she is the daughter of Mr. Théodore Blaise LAMINE, former Minister of the Interior of the Central African Republic and Mrs. Elisabeth MOUNDJELET-BEAULIT, his wife.

Lydie Pace never imagined becoming a singer....

At the age of 22, in France, impressed by her tessitura, her first music teachers invited her to turn towards classical music.

In 1996, she attended Martine SURAIS's class of Lyric Singing at the Conservatoire du Centre de PARIS. At the same time, Lydie PACE won the European Music Competition of Picardy and obtained a 1st Accessit at the Atelier Lyrique directed by Marcel FERU, director at the Scola Cantorum (Ecole Supérieure de Musique et d'Art Dramatique de PARIS).

Until 2000, she took part in about fifteen concerts and recitals: Cathedral of REIMS, International Musical Festival of the Grand Hôtel du CAP-FERRAT, Church of Saint-Germain-de-l'Auxerrois and Hôtel de la Monnaie of PARIS, Théâtre Alexandre Dumas of SAINT-GERMAIN-EN-LAYE, Théâtre de Paris VINCENNES, Palais des Congrès of PARIS...

In 1998, Lydie PACE obtained the Diplôme de Fin d'Etudes Supérieures de Chant, at the Conservatoire National de Région de RUEIL-MALMAISON, in the class of Elizabeth VIDAL.

Since then, she has successively held several positions as a singing teacher, for children, young people and adults: vocal technique, ensemble direction, thematic courses, school interventions, stage direction...

In 1999, Lydie PACE was brilliantly accepted at the Concorso Comunità Europea per Giovani Cantanti Lirici (53° edizione al Teatro Lirico di SPOLETO) and Italy is still waiting for her impatiently! Noticed by Alexandre STAJIC, she participates in the 22nd International Festival of TOUQUET in Porgy and Bess by GERSHWIN, with the Regional Orchestra of Ile-de-France.

Lydie Pace in Concert

Between 2001 and 2002, Lydie Pace is promoted Ambassador of the Association ISTRIA promoting tourism in Croatia. In the church of Béthancourt-en-Valois, her recital Aida (concert version) is a great success. She went on two summer tours for Les Rencontres Culturelles (CCAS / EDF-GDF : 6 performances in several seaside cities of the Mediterranean coast, in 2001, and 10 dates in different coastal cities of the West of France, in 2002).

Lydie PACE then interpreted the role of Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette, Gounod's opera directed by Gian KORAL and Hélia T'HEZAN at the Théâtre Arc-en-ciel of RUNGIS, with the Compagnie des Sources de Cristal and the Orchestre du Théâtre de RUNGIS. Shortly after, her involvement and interpretation of the title role in La Femme Hérisson, a contemporary musical creation with music by Marianne ENTAT and a libretto by Catherine de la CLERGERIE (Radio France), at the Auditorium Niedermayer in ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX and at the Théâtre de VANVES, will leave an indelible memory for the many spectators of this unique work.

In 2003, Lydie PACE was invited to give several recitals in the French embassies and cultural centers of Central Africa (LIBREVILLE, DOUALA and YAOUNDE) around a Franco-German repertoire, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty. In favor of the International Book of Peace, she offers an artistic participation in the Saint-Roch Church in PARIS. Lydie PACE (pronounced "pat'ché" in Italian) regularly participates in events for peace in the world.

Now settled in Auvergne, she has started a series of concerts in the regions of central France, including, in April 2004, a brilliant recital at the Municipal Opera of CLERMONT-FERRAND. At the same time, Lydie PACE teaches singing at the Ecole Intercommunale de Musique de GERGOVIE VAL D'ALLIER.
