The 20701/20702 Secunderabad - Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is India's 12th Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.^[1]^[2]

Overview

This train is operated by Indian Railways, connecting Secunderabad Jn, Nalgonda, Guntur Jn, Ongole, Nellore and Tirupati. It is currently operated with train numbers 20701/20702 on 6 days a week basis.^[3] The train has been flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 April 2023.

Rakes

It is the tenth 2nd Generation and the first train to be converted from a Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train to a Vande Bharat Express 2.0 train which was designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India initiative. ^[4]

Coach composition

The 20701/20702 Secunderabad - Tirupati Vande Bharat Express currently has 7 AC Chair Car and 1 Executive Chair Cars coaches. As per latest reports, starting from May 17 2023, this train will converted to a 16 Coach train which will comprise of 14 AC Chair Car and 2 Executive Chair Car coaches.^[5]

The coaches in Aqua color indicate AC Chair Cars and the coaches in Pink color indicate AC Executive Chair Cars. ^[6]^[7]
