Date of birth 1930?

[edit]

Her son responded to 90th birthday greetings on Twitter today, saying she is actually 89. https://twitter.com/OllieHolt22/status/1313583653415510016?s=20

BMD records via ancestry.com do back this up. There is an Eileen Derbyshire born Barton, Lancs in October 1931.

Extra in episode 4 misunderstanding

[edit]

The comment about Eileen being in episode 4 is arse upwards. Her future character, Miss Nugent, appears briefly when Ena faints, called through from the church hall to Ena's room by Mr Swindley. Miss Nugent is here played by an extra (the character doesn't speak). That's not the same as Eileen appearing *as* an extra. 188.220.225.33 (talk) 09:17, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was not Eileen It's not known who she was from episode 4 Miranda lass (talk) 22:25, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Husband

[edit]

The article states she married 'retired engineer' in 1965. Was he retired at that point? At about 35? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PeterM88 (talkcontribs) 18:38, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Music

[edit]

If she went to two music colleges, she didn't just study teaching. Was she a singer, or did she play an instrument? FangoFuficius (talk) 08:01, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
