Hi. Most Irish towns do not have local civic administrations (most were abolished in 2014; see Town councils in the Republic of Ireland and Local Government Reform Act 2014). Most Irish towns do not have official flags (whether created or endorsed by since abolished town councils or otherwise). Also note that the source given in this Commons file purporting to be a flag of Castlebar is CRWFlags.com. Which hosts a mirror of the Flags of the World (website). Per Talk:Flags_of_the_World_(website)#Listed_as_generally_unreliable_at_WP:RSP#Flags_of_the_World and WP:RSP#Flags of the World, this source (effectively a mailing list forum containing user-generated content) has not been considered reliable since 2011. There are no reliable sources to indicate that that flag (or any flag) has been flown in an official capacity (or any other capacity) to represent the town or its (now defunct) district council.
