Hi, I'm new and I am planning on working on the north-eastern areas of Adelaide, particularly promiment suburbs, shopping centers, schools and the O-Bahn. Possibly Semaphore and Port Adelaide if I go there some time! [[User:Avochelm|Avochelm]] 12:14, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC) |

Hello all, I'm also new and based in Daw Park. I love Adelaide and I'm familiar with the city, Central Market, and the Burnside, Marion, and Mitcham areas.--[[User:Zzymurgy|Zzymurgy]] 01:52, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC) |

Just with the to-do list: is Adelaide going to follow the naming conventions established in Sydney and Melbourne? If that's going to be the case, then the suburbs should be at Suburb, South Australia, and railway stations at Station railway station, Adelaide. Ambi 02:22, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Yeah, I guess we are. Adelaide's public transport system is unique however and we have lots of "bus interchanges" (on the Adelaide O-Bahn) which work similarly to railway stations in other places. - Aaron Hill 02:47, Oct 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Would they be worth creating articles on? Ambi 02:22, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I think of them as relatively large railway stations, so yeah they probably are worth creating articles on especially considering their unique qualities. I live really close to the O-Bahn so I might take a walk down a get a few photos. Subpage:Wikipedia:WikiProject Adelaide/Interchanges - Aaron Hill 02:27, Oct 9, 2004 (UTC)
- I catch the O-Bahn from Paradise Interchange just about every day, but I don't have a camera. As for the stations thingy, there's Belair, Noarlunga, Gawler, Tonsley... Suburb, South Australia should be fine. If not, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Alphax (talk) 15:00, Oct 25, 2004 (UTC)
- I have a camera and some photos of TTP Interchange. Getting photos of Klemzig and Paradise will cost me a ticket. =( Avochelm 12:17, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello, I hope you don't mind, but I kind of re-organised the project page - I'm a relatively new user/member, so forgive me for being a ignorant of Wikipedia etiquette. I'd like to help out with the Adelaide project. I've already contributed to some articles on Adelaide and Australia. - Cyberjunkie 20:00, Nov 20, 2004.
I'd like to see the history of Adelaide expanded on the Adelaide Page, could this be added to the wikiproject? - Diceman 15:40, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
New participants
Hi,
I've added my name to the participants list. What does this mean/change? Do we have a leader or pecking order? Is there a formal coordinating action (like a project of the week), or do we still just add whatever interests us as and when we can? Does this project cover strictly just the metro area, or loosely the whole state? --ScottDavis 08:11, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Do we have a consensus process for adding things to the open tasks panel? The Local Government Areas of South Australia list has links mostly just to the last part of a name (District Council/City of ...) and it seems more good luck than good management if it hits something about the town/suburb at the seat of government. See for example the link for City of Charles Sturt links to Charles Sturt The explorer, with no reference to the city. Very few of the town names are links to Town, South Australia rather than just Town. Is there a standard for the name syntax to use for local government areas? Should they redirect to the main town/suburb? --ScottDavis 13:03, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- There is a standard - using the official name. That's what we've done in Victoria and New South Wales, anyway. I prefer to have seperate articles on the municipality and the individual towns, and you get around messy situations like that article by going with the full name. Ambi 13:14, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- I've changed the main page, and will relink as many old pages as seem relevent - ie they talk about a council or LGA, not about a town. Thanks --ScottDavis 10:24, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
