The Battle of Rukh is the battle of the united army of the Kingdom of Imereti , Odisha and Guria principalities against the Ottoman Empire. With the 1774 Kuchuk-Kainarji Treaty, Turkey lost the right to intervene in the affairs of Imereti. In 1779 , Ottomans tried to remove its ally Odisha Principality for Imereti and marched from the territory of Abkhazia to Odisha . Katsia II Dadian appealed to the king of Imereti for help. Solomon IDadian was rescued by the army of Imeret-Guria. The enemy crossed Enguri and moved towards Zugdidi. The battle that took place between Rukh Castle and Zugdidi ended with the complete victory of the Imeret-Guria-Odish army. The winners captured many captives and the great Alaf, M. Sh. Enemy artillery . The Battle of Rukh stopped the expansion of the Turks in Georgia from the north-west for a long time.
