Ramkot Fort (Template:Lang-ur) is a medieval fort in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.[1][2]
History
The fort was built by Jasrat, a Khokhar or Gakhar chieftain, in the late 14th century. At this fort Khokhars clashed with the armies of amir Timur in 1398.[3] However, the current structure probably dates to the 16th century.[4][5] It is located on the edges of the Mangla Dam.[4]
