Angela Rigas is an American politician from Michigan who has represented the 79th district in the Michigan House of Representatives since the 2022 election.[1]

Rigas is a small-business owner in the salon industry.[2] During the COVID-19 pandemic, she defied stay-at-home orders and was cited for refusing to shop offering free haircuts outside the Michigan capitol building. "People need to get back to work", she said.[3]

She attended the January 6th Stop the Steal rally, calling it "a highlight of [her] life"[4] and that she was tear-gassed while outside the Capitol building.[5] Newsweek reported that Rigas was one of 13 attendees to run for office in 2022 and that her campaign was endorsed by Donald Trump.[5]

Regas is a member of the Grand New Party, a PAC created in 2022 which focuses on ending corporate welfare and dependence on foreign energy imports, while promoting transparency and "election integrity".[6]

She supports second Amendment rights, and said she wanted to overturn a 2023 Michigan red flag law that also required safe storage of firearms and universal background checks.[7]
