The 2024 Chinese military exercises around Taiwan is a series of military exercises by the People's Republic of China surrounding Taiwan. The exercises were described[by whom?] as "punishment" for the "separatist acts" following the inauguration of Lai Ching-te, a member of the Democratic Progressive Party.[1]
