@Nkon21 and Flabshoe1: sorry for the delay. As soon as I complete John Rudge's review, I'll continue with this one. (CC) Tbhotch™ 01:00, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Lead
- "Cited as the "biggest girl group in the world"," → WP:WEASEL
- "they are considered" → WEASEL
- "two billion views on YouTube, and remains" → wrong comma
- "since Danity Kane in 2008 and set two" → "since Danity Kane in 2008, and it set two"
- "The album's lead single "Pink Venom" (2022) was the" → "The album's lead single, "Pink Venom" (2022), was the
- "Blackpink have broken" → Blackpink is or Blackpink are?
- "30 Under 30 Asia, and were named" → unneeded comma
- The whole lead is about achievements. Will the whole article be about accomplishments? This is not List of awards and nominations received by Blackpink or Cultural impact of Blackpink. How did they come to be? They were not born successful. What do they do while not performing? I know the article has that information because you have the sections Formation and pre-debut activities, Endorsements, Philanthropy. If they exist, then they are important enough to have subsections that can be summarized in the lead paragraph.
- 2010–2016
- "Blackpink began forming" → when, in 2009? Because 2NE1 also formed in 2009
- "the pace of training alongside the culture shock was especially difficult" → "the pace of training and the culture shock were especially difficult"
- "Since then, numerous news and rumors surfaced" → "news stories". Also, "since then" implies that this hasn't stopped
- "It was only on May 18" → "It was until May 18"
- "member revealed, on June" → wrong comma
- "native country Thailand and" → "native country, Thailand, and" or "native Thailand"
- "Jisoo also made a cameo appearance in 2015 drama" → in the 2015
@Nkon21 and Flabshoe1: I'll continue either tomorrow or on Thursday. (CC) Tbhotch™ 04:22, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for starting the review. As per your comments, I have updated the lead to incorporate more sections of the article, and have corrected the grammatical errors listed. Flabshoe1 (talk) 02:26, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks.
- 2016–2017
- You can link single album since it is not a common term outside South Korea.
It was described as a "mixed genre of music" → by whom?
- "Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, becoming their first song to enter the Bubbling Under Hot 100" → repetitive
- "The music video for the song later..." needs to be moved to the previous paragraph.
- "self-titled Japanese extended play" → "self-titled Japanese extended play (EP)"
- 2018–2019
- "one on Gaon Album Chart" → the Gaon
- "led Blackpink to becoming the first" → "led Blackpink to become the first"
- "Gaon Digital Chart while "Forever Young"" → "Chart, while "Forever Young""
- "and became the highest-charting song by a Korean girl group in the country" → at that time
- "the second most-watched music video of all time in first 24 hours of release" → "the second most-watched music video of all time in the first 24 hours of release
- "at Kyocera Dome Osaka" → "at the Kyocera Dome Osaka"
- "By the end of its run, the tour became" → The way it is written, "By the end of its run, the tour had became"
- "marking Blackpink's second entry in the chart" → on the chart
- "The group embarked to Japan for a variety of promotional activities" → "The group embarked on a variety of promotional activities in Japan"
- "In January of the following year, Blackpink were" → Blackpink is or Blackpink are
- "Break the Internet Awards™ list" → Legal symbols are discouraged
I had 2020 already but an edit conflict occurred. So I'll redo it tomorrow. (CC) Tbhotch™ 03:47, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- 2020–2021
- This is also found in the previous section, change the 100,000,000 streams to 100 million streams
- "On April 22, 2020, it was confirmed the group" → "that the group". Also, who confirmed it?
- "The show documents their 2020 comebacks alongside sharing" → "while sharing"
- "as well as of Rosé's song "Gone" from her first solo single album R" → "as well as Rosé's song "Gone" from her first solo single álbum, R"
- "Blackpink released a Japanese version of The Album on August 3, 2021, with Japanese versions for four out of the eight tracks [...], which peaked at number three on the Oricon Albums Chart" → I know you meant that The Album peaked at number three, but this can imply that the versions did it instead.
- 2022–present
- "It peaked at number two on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became" → "It peaked at number two on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart, number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, and became"
- "Blackpink released their second studio album Born Pink alongside" → "Blackpink released their second studio album, Born Pink, alongside"
- There are some previously linked articles that are linked again, including Hot 100, Global 200, Billboard 200, R (single album), etc.
- " in pure sales during 2022 according" → "in pure sales during 2022, according"
- Seoul, London and Paris are common cities, so they don't need a link
- "The encore leg set several historical records, including making them the first Korean girl group to perform in a stadium in Europe, the first girl group to perform at Allegiant Stadium, Oracle Park, and Dodger Stadium" → where are those stadiums located? Europe or the US?
- "a promotional single titled "The Girls" which" → "a promotional single titled "The Girls", which"
- "their mobile game, Blackpink: The Game on" → "their mobile game, Blackpink: The Game, on"
- "becoming the second group ever to win the latter award since TLC in 1999" → "becoming the second group since TLC in 1999 to receive the latter honor."
- "under discussion, and later" → wrong comma
- "Billboard announced the Blackpink: A VR Encore" → "Billboard announced Blackpink: A VR Encore"
- Artistry
- File:Ddu-Du Ddu-Du - Blackpink sample.ogg's rationale is for Lovesick Girls
- "Their discography also utilizes a range of musical styles" → "They also use a variety of musical styles throughout their discography, such as"
- "Their music is often characterized by a fusion of "bold rapping, powerful singing and chic styling"" → Who is being quoted?
- ""rewrote the definition of K-pop and their beauty, It's for them not for anyone else."" → typo
- "Other artists that the group have" → has
- Public image
- "naming their song "Pretty Savage" as the song that described them → describes
- "image in K-pop, and for" → wrong comma
- "as larger-than-life idols", "But in carefully" → "as larger-than-life idols [...] [b]ut in carefully"
- "to South Korean hanbok, through" → hanbok is italicized; wrong comma
- File:BLACKPINK Pink Venom Tour 2022 (52544176071).jpg appears but its relevance is not mentioned in the section
- The section discusses Blackpink's fandom power and the light stick represents the group's fandom, so I still feel that the image is appropriate.
Done up to here. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 13:53, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Legacy
- "Since their debut, Blackpink have emerged" → has

Today, at 32, I learned that LG is Korean and not Japanese.- "Sisa Journal identified Blackpink's global influence as a stand out" → According to wikt:stand out, it is a verb, so "standout"
- "their contributions in spreading" → "their contributions to spreading"
- "industry while Variety" → "industry, while Variety"
- "They became the third girl group in history to cover Rolling Stone, after the Spice Girls and Destiny's Child, when they covered the magazine's June 2022 issue" → "They covered the June 2022 issue of Rolling Stone, making history's third girl group to do so after Destiny's Child and the Spice Girls.

- Thank you for the detailed notes, and I've gone through and addressed all remaining points. For the Earwig report of similarity to the Billboard link, I've reduced it by over a percentage with some paraphrasing but have been unclear as to how to do so further as the detected parts are fairly generic phrases such as "the first K-pop girl group". Let me know if you have any suggestions. Flabshoe1 (talk) 03:06, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, common and generic phrases are read as a match by the tool, but the reported percentages have decreased. (CC) Tbhotch™ 06:35, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
