Muhammad Tariq Khan (Urdu محمد طارق خان) (died 27 April 2009) was a Pakistani politician who was the former sector in-charge of the MQM Korangi (Mahajir Qaumi Movement) now (Muttahida Qaumi Movement). Muhammad Tariq Khan was considered one of the close associates of MQM founder Altaf Hussain. When the state operation against MQM started in 19 June 1992, Tariq Khan went to jail in a murder case, but later he was released from jail after a short time. On April 27, 2009, Tariq Khan was shot and killed by an unknown person at around 11 am in Peshawar.
