Beach House is a Baltimore, MD two-piece dream pop, indie-rock band formed in 2005. Their dreamy sound is similar to Mazzy Star and Nico. Their self-titled debut was named the 16th best album of 2006 by Pitchfork Media. [1]


Band members

The two members are Alex Scally on guitar and keyboards, and Victoria Legrand on vocals and organ.

History

The band formed in 2005. Their song Apple Orchard was featured on a Pitchfork Media mp3 mixtape in August, 2006. In October 2006 their self-titled debut album was release on Carpark Records.
