::Certainly! Stuff like [[Special:Diff/1237248396]] and [[Special:Diff/1237678084]] are supposed to not be marked as minor. The first one changes the meaning slightly, and the sentence-moving part of the second one claims that the sentence is cited by the first two sources as well. Usually what we do is say "ce", short for "copyedit", in the summary for such edits and describe them a bit more. Revision as of 00:26, 31 July 2024
this user is trying to take a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia soon. Most likely, however, this user will not be able to keep away from Wikipedia for that long, and will probably be back a lot earlier while making some small edits every once in a while anyway. |
Minor edits
Hey there, please refrain from marking that many edits as minor, as I've noticed you have done at Trap, Twisters, and many places more. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. That includes your copy edits and sentence shuffling, which shouldn't be marked as minor edits. Thanks for all your edits! Aaron Liu (talk) 00:03, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
