Season chronology | |
The third season of Drag Race Philippines premiered on 7 August 2024. The season airs on HBO Go in Philippines and WOW Presents Plus internationally.[1] The season was confirmed by World of Wonder on 17 October 2023.[2]
Production
On 25 October 2023, it was announced via the show's official Instagram page, that casting for the third season was now open. Applications remained open for four weeks until it closed on 24 November 2023.[3]
On 4 July 2024, a promotional post was released on social media.[4] The post showcases the host, Paolo Ballesteros in a black-and-white themed set.[5] Eleven contestants were announced on 11 July 2024.[6] Participants include Queen of the Universe season 2 contestant Maxie who, alongside her biological sibling Angel, become the second pair of biological relatives to compete in the franchise, following Sugar and Spice from the American adaptation.

Eleven new queens enter the workroom and the competition for the crown beings. For their first mini challenge, the queens perform voguing moves in front of their castmates and Drag Race Philippines alumni Arizona Brandy, Bernie, Brigiding, M1ss Jade So, Minty Fresh, and Viñas DeLuxe. For the first maxi challenge, the contestant have to film a short video. On the runway, the theme is Hometown Realness. Paolo Ballesteros announces that no queen is getting eliminated in the premiere: the Top 2, Khianna and Zymba Ding, lip-sync for the win. Khianna wins the lip-snyc earning the first win of the season.

The contestants had to present two runway looks inspired by sustainable fashion; the second look had to be designed and created in the workroom using unconventional materials. Categories are Sari-Sari Store Eleganza and Trash-ion Myx Chanel won the main challenge, whereas Angel and Tita Baby were up for elimination. After the lip-sync, Paolo decided that no queen is leaving the competition yet.

For this week's mini challenge, the queens had to compete in a sack race where they had to wear fake breasts; they were grouped into three and had to compete against each other. The winning queen from each group would move on to the final round where they would compete to win. The final three were Versex, Yudipota, and Zymba Ding. Unfortunately, due to her not following the rules by not wearing a fake breast, Versex was eliminated and instead got replaced by Khianna who ended up winning the challenge. For the Maxi Challenge, the queens had to form their own girl groups, choreograph, and write their own verses to the song "Dapat Pakak!" As the winner of the mini challenge, Khianna had the privilege to pick her teammates. Group 1 (Burak Pak) consisted of: Khianna, Popstar Bench, Angel, Maxie, Versex, and Zymba Ding. While Group 2 (Hard Fuckockers) consisted of: J Quinn, Myx Chanel, Tita Baby, John Fedellaga, and Yudipota. During the performance, Burak Pak performed well and received good feedback except for Versex who negatively stood out due to having a hard time keeping up with her groupmates. On the runway, the theme was "Per-Yeah!" Khianna, Maxie, Popstar Bench, and John Fedellaga all received good critiques with Maxie winning the Maxi Challenge. While Versex, Myx Chanel, and J Quinn received negative critiques with Myx Chanel and Versex landing in the bottom. The two of them Lip Sync to the Song "Miss Manila" by guest judge, Angeline Quinto. After the lip sync, Paolo Ballesteros tells Myx Chanel to Shantay resulting in Versex becoming the first queen to be eliminated.

It's a new day in the Werk Room and for this week's mini challenge, each of them have to guess what is in the box. John Fedellaga wins the mini challenge. For this week's main challenge, the queens in pairs, have to create live shows for the Pao Presents Plus.
On the runway, category is 3D Fractal Extravaganza. John Fedellaga, Khianna and Maxie receives positive critiques, with Maxie winning the challenge. J Quinn, Myx Chanel, and Yudipota receives negative critiques, with Myx Chanel being declared safe. J Quinn and Yudipota lip-sync to "Wag Kang Pabebe" by Vice Ganda. While in the middle of the lip-sync, Yudipota decided to quit the competition by walking out.

For this week's mini challenge, the queens recreate a line from Ogie Diaz acting workshop in the most intense way as possible. Zymba Ding wins the mini challenge. For this week's main challenge, the queens star in the rusical AaWicked Kita!, inspired by Wicked.
On the runway category is, Kum-Haute Couture. Myx Chanel, Tita Baby, and Zymba Ding receives positive critiques, with Zymba Ding winning the challenge. Angel, John Fedellaga, and Popstar Bench receives negative critiques, with Angel being declared safe. John Fedellaga and Popstar Bench lip-sync to "Dadalhin" by Regine Velasquez. For this week's mini challenge, the queens read each other to filth but with a twist. Maxie wins the mini challenge. For this week's main challenge, the queens give a drag makeover to their loved ones. On the runway category is, Super Queens. It is announced that Maxie is the winner of this week's main challenge. Angel, Khianna, and Popstar Bench receives negative critiques, with Angel being declared safe. Khianna and Popstar Bench lip-sync to "Get Your Rebel On" by RuPaul. Khianna wins the lip-sync and Popstar Bench is eliminated.

28 | 8 | "Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown" | September 25, 2024 | |
For this week's mini challenge, the queens had to play "Pokpok Palayok" (Pokpok (originally meaning slut) is a word play for the word Pukpok which means "Hit.") The game is popularly known as the Filipino version of the piñata party game. Myx Chanel hit the pot the fastest and therefore winning the mini challenge. For the Maxi Challenge, it was revealed in the episode prior that the franchise would be having its first ever "Lipsync Lalaparuza Smackdown". Once the queens were onstage, Paolo stated the rules of the lalaparuza. There would be a total of 3 pairs during the first half of the lipsync lalaparuza, the three winners would then be asked to go back to the werk room and wait for further announcements. Paolo then reveals that the person that was going to lipsync will be determined by a roulette and the queen who's name gets chosen will be given the chance to pick their opponent. The chosen opponent would then have the opportunity to pick the lip sync song the both of them will perform. The first pair was Tita Baby and Myx Chanel, Tita baby picks Myx while Myx chooses "Adrenaline" by RuPaul as their lip sync song. Tita Baby wins the lip sync and goes back to the werk room. The second pair consisted of Angel and Khianna with Angel picking Khianna as her opponent. Khianna then chooses "Loka Loka" by Queen Manica Money as their lip sync song but unfortunately loses to Angel. The final pair were Maxie and Zymba Ding. Paolo rolls the roulette again, the name chosen was Zymba Ding which granted her the opportunity to pick their song. She then chooses "Hush" by Yassi Pressman and Nadine Lustre. Maxie wins the lip sync and proceeds to the werk room. Once all three winners were in the werk room, Paolo reveals a twist to the lalaparuza. The three winning queens would have the chance to save one of the losing queens by giving them the "Golden Balut". The three losing queens then go back to the werk room and pleade their cases as to why they should be saved. Once their deliberations were done, Tita Baby, Angel, and Maxie then decided on the queen that they would be saving. Back on the main stage, it is revealed that the three winners have decided to save Khianna from elimination and gives her the "Golden Balut". The four of them proceeed to the back of the stage leaving Myx Chanel and Zymba Ding as the bottom 2 queens of the week. The two of them lip sync to "Ligaw Tingin" by Leah Navarro. Zymba Ding wins the lip sync and is saved from elimination. Paolo then tells Myx Chanel to sashay away.

For this week's mini challenge, the queens answer fiery questions from the eliminated queens. Tita Baby wins the mini challenge. For the final challenge, the queens write, record, and choreograph to the song "Slay Accla". On the runway, category is Ang Gown-Da. Angel, Khianna, and Maxie receives positive critiques, with Angel winning the challenge. Tita Baby and Zymba Ding are announced as the bottom queens this week. They lip-sync to "Isa Pang Araw" by Sarah Geronimo. Tita Baby wins the lip-sync and Zymba Ding is eliminated.
