Minamiuwa (南宇和郡, Minamiuwa-gun) is a district located in Ehime Prefecture. The estimated population is 28,100 and the total area is 239.54 km².(2004)
The district include one town.

- 1878年(明治11年)の郡区町村編制法により宇和郡が分割し誕生。(7 villages)
- February 11, 1923, the village of Mishō(御荘村) gained town status to become the town of Mishō(御荘町).(1 town, 6 villages)
- February 11, 1923, the village of Jōhen(城辺村) gained town status to become the town of Jōhen(城辺町).(2 towns, 5 villages)
- November 3, 1948, the village of Uchiumi(内海村) broke up and became the villages of Uchiumi, Minamiuchiumi(南内海村/newly created), and Jōhen(merged into).(2 towns, 6 villages)
- April 1, 1952, the village of Higashisotoumi(東外海村) gained town status to become the town of Higashisotoumi(東外海町).(3 towns, 5 villages)
