I've been reading Wikipedia for a year or so, and reckon it's about time I started contributing. The idea of a totally democratic encyclopedia is fantastic - even though there are obvious dangers. Long may it prosper! |

I'm an Aussie - live in the bush in a town not far from Melbourne. Interests - history, genealogy, cricket, education, the environment. Semi-retired training consultant, in transition from full-time paid employment to full-time unpaid employment! At last there's time to dabble in matters unimportant but interesting! |

So far (May '05) my only contributions have been related to the [[First Fleet]], including my ancestors [[William Balmain]] and [[Margaret Dawson]], the [[Second Fleet (Australia)|Second Fleet]], and the history of [[Norfolk Island]]. |
